I have been thinking about it a lot since I read it, I really think it is true especially in England. http://www.dur.ac.uk/r.a.hill/red_advantage.htm The teams with red strips or predominant redness have an advantage both in psychology of the players and in terms of referee bias. I think it seems like a pretty legit theory, for example Man Utd are famous for very very rarely conceding penalties in Old Trafford. Not sure how much it holds up in foreign countries but it's interesting to note that in the Euros 2004 they found that teams often did better in their red strip than their other colour ie white! We famously won the 1966 world cup wearing red against w germany's white. Total bollocks. If I was a referee I wonder which one I'd be more intimidated by, 65,000 people screaming at me that it was a foul or the fact they're wearing red shirts.

The idea is that, all other things being equal shirt color seems to have a significant, though probably small, effect. It has been known for ages that, in red vs blue sports, the red side wins slightly more often than the blue side.

/only the first 2:30ish minutes, after that they show stuff from his Madrid period) But if you just search for the individual player names + Barcelona, fx. "Laudrup Barcelona" or "Guardiola Barcelona" there are a lot of videos from that era. The quality isn't grreat though, since it's so old.

They were the only "Total Football" team in that years and they really played great with that risky 4-3-3. But i think Guardiola Barça is superior to Cruyff Barça.

Benfica 0-0 Chelsea, good defensive display by Chelsea so far. Benfica lacking the pressure up top imo, need close Chelsea back four down to have any chance. Game on

What the hell, no it wasn't, he was moving his hands down to his side there was no way in hell that was a handball. I don't know how you dutchies do it but here (where modern football was invented) we call it 'ball to hand', when the player has no time to react and he doesn't have his hands high. If you think that was a penalty then you play a different football to the one we invented.
