I've been PKing a bit on my pure the last few days, nothing too exciting. 2 double KOs, about 5 deaths and 4 kills.

Stats are
30 Attack
42 Strength (getting up to 50 asap)
48 Range (getting to 50 as well)
25 Magic
2 Defence :S

Range/2Hing of course.

I used to know him IRL when he was in elementary school, lent him my account for a bit. He dropped out of high school eventually and did nothing but play RS on my account...I have no contact with him now, but I'd like to think that by commandeering my account back (or simply requesting it, but commandeering sounds way sweeter) maybe I changed his life or something. More than likely he just made a new account.

I don't know why this game has appeal to be honest, comparing it to World of Warcraft or really any other MMO (even free-to-play MMOs of decent quality, like Runes of Magic), it's absolutely terrible. Games are looked down upon for the grind, and that's all RuneScape is...and that's what people like to do, grind and grind and grind for e-peenery. Pretty interesting stuff. The HD update made it far more playable.

It's mfh cheese. I probably won't be on much today, tomorrow I will be though.

I'm still going through the process of getting all my alt accounts back, I really can't remember their passes. Luckily one had a blue Halloween mask leftover :D

As for why I like RS.... there's something so satisfying about killing people and taking their stuff. So few games actually make it work. I've done just about everything in WoW, it just doesn't excite me anymore.

I played this game 4 years ago or so but 1 day I just up and quit and didn't look back. I occasionally looked at the updates (3-5 months at a time) and i'm glad I quit. I did own a party hat at one point so I was happy about that. My best friend on RS had 2 sets of Phats and some santas, he was pretty much a lone PKer and made alot from it. Only a few things I enjoyed, Barrows, Castle Wars, Slayer, and killing bosses. Heres a screenshot of one of my kills, nothing special. My name was retarded but its whatever.

This is kind of a broad/naive question but... what's the low level pvp metagame like right now?

Assuming everyone has 1 def? Are range/melee hybrids the most popular? Is a melee/mage hybrid worthwhile? Will you get gibbed if you don't have a combat or two of extra hp from training range/magic?

Even if you're a strength pure, getting magic levels to 25 and range to 40 helps so much because you can wear d-hide chaps and teleport.

But training magic/range gets you constitution levels which increase your combat now right? So you still gain combats it's just in pure hp. Or I could be way off.

Yeah, I'm not sure if constitution increases combat but even if it does it will be very little compared to the amount of help you get from the extra HP, spells, armor etc.

Nice guide, but Jagex has tons of this stuff on their website/in the game already honestly...

I played RuneScape for years, no way I could ever go back to it now though. I had twelve 99 skills when I finally left for good, Seto271 was my username if anyone cares.

you guys are all pros. i went defensive for the most part as a warrior 4 years ago. i mostly played F2P so thats why it was rather effective.. when i palyed Members, i would get stomped by everything ><

To answer your questions:
Yes, pretty much everyone has 1 defence.

You gotta balance your HP. If you are making a range/2her, you should have around 45 HP at 30/50/50,a few more HP levels is OK as long as it doesn't give you 2-3 combat levels, lower HP is generally bad, as you get KOed easier.

I used to play this game a lot back in RS classic days, before any graphic updates this was my favorite MMO Of all time I was a level 66 miner and blacksmith(Sabin6767) which was pretty tough to get. To bad it's pretty terrible now T__T Nice guide hope everyone gives classic a try if you are a member. (if they still offer that)

Honestly, I think they closed RS1 to everyone excluding the people who still play it. I am currently a member on my main and I can't find a way to get to it.
