Call of Juarez: Gunslinger $6 (looks like it's Steam-activated)

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is also $6 there, but I'm pretty sure that has icky Uplay all over it.

Terraria for $2.50 on Steam right now. Good game, worth it if you don't have it yet. Just released a pretty massive update too.

True, get it. It is an amazing game, though with one caveat. You need at least 1 friend. Terraria is simply not a game you can play alone, it is no fun. But as soon as you can play it with someone else it becomes amazing. Also, PLEASE don't think "meh, minecraft in 2d". This is not minecraft in 2d. It takes the crafting/building from minecraft, but there is also an actual game here. With enemies that are challenging and involve strategy and preparation (which can involve building stuff to make the fight easier, but does not have to), character progression, meaningful exploration and all that good stuff. You owe it to yourself to get this game and play it with a few people you know.

My personal favorite: Building traps for your friends while they are off doing something else. There is just nothing quite like getting a poison dart in your face when your open your housedoor, or getting teleported into a pit of lava when moving through your basement.

I bought Endless Space yesterday during a sale. Thought I'd check it out 30 min before I went to bed. God damn so much tutorial on everything... Gonna take a while before I get the hang of it.

I saw that Sins of Solar Empire: Rebellion was on sale today as well. I'm gonna pick that up this weekend.

The eternal question is "Which game is better". But I'm going to ask:

Which game is easier to get into?

They are different genres, with Sins of a Solar empire having a lot of RTS to it. I haven't played that much Sins but I found it pretty complicated. It was a long time ago, but from what I remember Sins was very RTS like. Homeworld would be closer to it than Endless Space.

Endless Space on the other hand I have played lots and it is one of the easiest if not the easiest 4X game to get into. Once you understand how Food, Industry, Dust and Science works there isn't really anything difficult about it. Some would say it is pretty shallow compared to other 4X games (true to an extent), but I find it enjoyable.

Sins a much easier game to get into by far, but I really don't like the game since you get into to a lot of chase the enemy situations at end game.

Endless Space is much more complicated and complex to get the hang of. Its pretty fun but it got old pretty fast.
Get it by your hands...

I can't remember, but is it only "scary" games that go on sale for Halloween? Or did others as well? Hoping to pick up Kerbal at a discount but thinking it wont be until the Autumn sale in November?

I dont like endless space because the devs basically gave up on building a decent AI and instead just made it cheat like mad.
Also the expansion seems to actually have taken away a lot of things from the game. I think they call it "streamlining".
I rather play Gal Civ 2.

For sins...its ok, but i vastly prefer Ai War, which s build around a challenging single player campaign.

Really enjoy Endless Space so far, I'll see further down the road about the AI cheating since I'm used to it with Civ (and don't think you can avoid it in strategy games anyway).

It's very Civ like so I'd recommend it to Civ lovers before the end of the sale.

Endless space was a good game and I liked it a lot but GalCiv 3 is coming out soon and that will basically relegate all other games to videogame purgatory

Soon ? Game just got announced and I don't even think its in alpha yet for founders.

By the waym on topic, Endless Space sale is over I think but now it's Sins of a Solar Empire that is on sale 10$.

Bioshock Infinite is 9.99$ on Amazon.com if someone not already got it. I'm on my 2nd Playthrough in 1999 Mode right now. Pretty fun.

and they removed GFWL and Securom from both games, added Steam achievements and trading cards.
That means no activation limits, no GFWL bullshit and overall a much enjoyable experience.

Are you in the US or how can you buy the game from Germany?
