Pre ordering is pretty shitty, remember how people got mega burned on Aliens Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem... yeah
On better news the new Humble weekly is out and it includes the best 1c strategy games out there. Men of War, Men of war Assault Squad + DLC, Men of war Red tide, King's Bounty The Legend, King's Bounty Armored Princess and King's Bounty Crossworlds. MoW AS and KB Crossworlds are behind the BTA.
I've played some of the games on the King's Bounty series and an easy comparison is the HoMM games but KB certainly has more and better RPG elements, I highly recommend the series for anyone interested on Grid combat strategy games.
I haven't played the Men of war games, although I own them all, they are a very hardcore WW2 RTS.

Anyone expecting a game that was in production for 14 odd years to stand up to modern tastes shouldn't have pre ordered it. plus I don't remember seeing any in game footage of colonial marines like we've seen of the bureau.

Call of Cthuhlu at 7 bucks is a great deal for anyone that likes horror games.

Doom games are on sale right now for another 20 hours likely associated with quakecon. Grab that Classic complete set for 4$!!!
And if you're a graphics whore, grab the source port prboom+ and get in on classic doom action. Also, if you want recommendations for megawads or using source ports just send me a message on TL. I'll be glad to help!

ID and Bethesda sale for Quakecon.
Not. Fucking. Fair. The Steam Sale ended, my wallet was supposed to be safe.
Every Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, Rage, and Fallout game for $90.
Also the three latest Elder Scrolls games.
I hate them, they're... too awesome....

I kinda feel like they should have a separate thread for Humble Bundle games. Humble bundles + steam sales = too heavy a beating on my wallet =(

Is it just me or did FF7 drop by like 5 bucks?

I think any price above $5 is laughable for it, though. It's a Steam port of a 15 year old PC port of a 16 year old PSX game, with the only changes being essentially a compatibility patch and anti-aliasing...and apparently a Trainer so you can cheat...all of which are available from any fansite or decent graphics card control panel.

Except now there's no disc you have to change or put in for the PC version.

Steam version the only difference is that it includes a hack.

I'm well aware of that, but it's actually rolled into the product now with all updates and there's no CD to ever worry about (as far as damage). Maybe you don't think it's worth the money, but I do. I've seen how much the original CDs have gone for on ebay in recent years. They're weren't this cheap, and they were a pain to work with for years.

Now that I was not aware of.

The Steam version of FF7 is the same as the Squeenix digital version, except that you won't have to deal with Squeenix's customer service if you want to download it again beyond a month after purchase.

I was pretty happy to pay $12 for FF7 on steam, given that to this day it is still one of my favourite games.
