long ago when it was F2P under harmless game there was over 10k people online at anyone time, then greedy Sony came in, bought out Harmless Games and made it P2P...killed that game outright.
went to FI for a bit, with aaerox & hellspawn & ryanbe etc, was active in during that time when Combat Arms(GOGO LUA HQs!) was made, then stopped playing again.
i miss Infantry Online, too bad its now just a game in my memory...no more epic battles(lack of numbers) in Bug Hunt, or CTFX. Or even just CTF:Heinrich Point =/

I hope this game is going to be fun. I remember back then there was a C&C Renegade, similar to this. Build buildings, gun people down in futuristic settings. but that game died out.

Any idea on when the beta starts? I just got the pc gamer magazine thinking that it would start today, but apparently it just gives me priority access whenever the beta does start.

Planetside was an incredible game. The visuals were great, I loved the music, the epic battles, the vehicles, weapons, sneaking around assassinating people, and dropping bombs. But the game was plagued with lag issues and every time we capped a base, I would disconnect and get 0 experience. SOE doesn't exactly have the best track record, but I have high hopes for planetside 2.

Lol, I really wanted to see the basic block modelling in maya. Unfortunately that seems to be the one part of the video they skip

PS-U suspects an announcement (of some sort) at GDC (which March 5-9th), and is having a recap podcast on March 10th to go over some of the recent information & whatever GDC brings.
(planetside-universe.com, similar to TL, but for planetside)
So...maybe in a few months? no one knows for sure. It's a little hard to predict based on the dev info.

Sadly I dont. =( I was a young teen playing that, was quite long time ago for me but I still have fond memories of holding a hilltop as a medic by myself for an hour one time. Spam Heal and Knife over ledges. Good times. =p
