I think that the conquest mode will be a lot more like BF2, so it's a mixture of both rather than only open or only urban style close combat maps. I like it.

I would like to inform you that if you purchase the Medal of Honor Limited Edition then you get the E-mail which contains alpha code.

I think you can wait a month to get into Beta, which will be obviously much better than Alpha and its going to be free.

They were pretty useless compared to semi autos and autos.

From those videos, I'm not feeling BF2142 in there. Looks just like BC2, but in urban environments. Just wouldn't be the same unless Recons can cloak, sneak up to a vehicle with sticky bombs and blow it to hell. Not to mention, the overwhelming amount of dust, debris, smoke and other graphical effects that conceal 90% of stuff on the screen in BC2 gets old, fast and it looks like more of the same in BF3. Yeah, that desert looks realistic as fuck, but I'll be damned if good gameplay involves only being able to identify targets when they're moving, thus not being able to identify a single target in a screen full of dust and lens flare effects before you get popped by a camper.

No it was pretty shit. Not a 1 shot kill on long range and bolt action, the full auto and semi auto worked fine both for long and short range. Gol worked for sitting in a bush and sniping engineers who stood still behind tanks, but not much more beyond that. Or that's the impression I got, recon with the full auto Russian thing almost felt OP.

Even from 2000 meters+ you could easily adjust the trajectory of the bullet to hit pretty much anyone. Semi-Autos were good too, but they were at least a 2 hit kill with Magnum Ammo and its much harder to put two shots on a moving target than 1.

Stop talking shit, it was a one shot kill at close to medium range. Not long range unless you get a headshot. And that's long range in BC2 terms, which isn't very long at all. 35 seconds in. Anyhow, if anyone is in the alpha do you know if you can disable the negative mouse acceleration BC2 had going on? I tried the fix posted in whatever forum thread way back but it disabled turrets and did all kinds of funky shit.

I'm just going to tell you that the bolt action weapons were extreeeemely powerful in BC2, they seem shitty when you first try them but after a bit of practice you can get headshots easily enough that they are brutally strong. Also they are muuuch better on PC as you have to aim above and lead your target which isn't very well supported with the aim-assist needed with controllers.

there was an official video released today, but it's not so good. Nothing impressive about bragging about E3 awards while showing footage of shooting at red triangles through thick smoke and cover...

"EA Live chat Matthew G.: Ok well I am sorry for the misinformation but the link I sent you has a specific question in it that is frequently asked that is the same as what I had told you that MOH LE customers are entitled to the closed Beta edition and the Beta starts after the Alpha which is a closed and invite only for mainly employees and a select number of people with specific veteran status's" FAQ says: Q: Is this the Beta promised to buyers of Medal of Honor: Limited Edition? A: No, this is an Alpha Trial, meaning this software is still not at the "Beta" development milestone. The Open Beta will start in September. The exact date for when Medal of Honor: Limited Edition players can join the Beta will be announced at a later date. Q: Can I join the Battlefield 3 Closed Alpha Trial? A: The Alpha is a closed test and by invitation only. If you'd like to have a chance to be called upon make sure to register for our newsletter and ensure your Veteran status is up to date.
