I have moved fully into "crash every 15 minutes" mode . F you EA, your stability farking blows. When it takes me a solid 1.5 minutes to even load into your game, I should not be crashing every 15 as well. Playing BF3 is just such a pain....long load times, random terrible lag spikes that aren't on my end, long boring waits in between maps, and crashing for no reason every 15 minutes......when every other major game in existence works just fine......just....F you EA.
On the bright side, the TL server has been much more entertaining and fun. Tried it tonight, and it seemed much more like a normal server. If only I could stay in it for more than 1 map before crashing.

Maybe if you are crashing so much, have you thought that maybe , i dont know, you should look into a potential hardware problem instead of jumping on the origin/EA hate bandwagon, and actually fix your game?
Not me nor any of my friends have crashing issues, after updating drivers, anyway.

I know this is a joke, but I do seriously wonder if BF players really think most CoD players are just numbskull retards (this is my first BF game, I've been playing CoD since vanilla, and I do just fine, if not better, than most players I encounter, as does my clan of CoD fanboys and BF first-timers). Yes, the TDM/SnD/DOM killwhores are going to try to rambo in a game where you can easily be outnumbered from a far larger amount of vantage points, unlike the less dynamic CoD environments. But CoD skill, surprisingly, actually translates into (infantry) gameplay in BF pretty well.
Move to reduce where you can be shot from, do not make yourself known if you do not have to, go for the objective, cover the areas your teammates are not, squish opposition from multiple sides, get your crosses set up, communicate effectively.
A few of the things mentioned do not apply to TDM, but more to the objective modes in CoD.
Now, I will concede that the average CoD player is, in fact, bad. There's actually a rather odd gap between a typical pubstar and a legit player in CoD. Unfortunately, things in that game (and BF) tend to make skill useless. But at least BF3 has more team synergy with squad roles. Ultimately, it makes this game a lot more enjoyable, not only because my teammates can replenish me (and I, them), but it gives players more defined roles, unlike CoD where the roles can be a bit more abstract and difficult to understand.
So, in closing, I'm a CoD fanboy that loves that series, but BF3 is one hell of a relief and we CoD players are actually pretty good at this game, at least the ones that didn't only play to get high KDR. And even our clan leader, who did just act as a kill whore, is damn good at this game too.
I hope we compete at some point though. Would be nice to get humiliated and learn how to really be badass.

Hey guys, whenever I try to launch BF3 from the battlelog, I keep getting an error that states I don't have the required level DirectX, yet I have DirectX 11, and a 6950. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

You played since vanilla CoD and you still play?..CoD1 was my favorite FPS back in the day, i was top fanboy playing it all the time, 2 didnt impress me but wasnt bad..3 was bad but i accepted it was by a different developer..4 came out and I loved it...then 5 came out and I disowned the series. I get different people like different things..but to me they killed it with 5. =\ I left and haven't looked back.
Mix in about 2000 hours of BF2 between CoD1 and CoD4 and BF3 was an instant buy for me

I'd say that CoD is a much easier game to play multiplayer than Battlefield, partially because you can go one man rambo style and wipe out of whole teams (killstreaks, imba guns, warp-knifing etc.) and that the team aspect was rather mute. I've played both MW2 and Bad Company 2 for extended periods of time (clocked 275 hours according to steam for MW2) and pub players/teams (MW2) definitely don't do most of the things you mentioned:
Move to reduce where you can be shot from, do not make yourself known if you do not have to, go for the objective, cover the areas your teammates are not, squish opposition from multiple sides, get your crosses set up, communicate effectively. To be fair, covering areas where your teammates are not happens in BF as well.
And sure if you play with friends or an actual team, you'd have much more opportunity to actually do those things you mentioned. Unfortunately CoD itself doesn't encourage it. Oddly enough, I was usually quite unhappy when there was someone who was as good or better than I was on my team, because they'd take kills away from my own killstreak, making it harder/longer to get an AC-130 in the air.
I don't buy into the whole CoD players are terribad at FPS in general idea, it's just hard to translate what you've (plural) been accustomed to in CoD and shift over to BF without a lot left wanting (e.g. teamwork, weapon usage). Also there are a lot of angry (bad) kiddies.
From what you written though, sounds like you play fairly well and have already learnt how to work in a team, so I doubt there is any huge skill gap between yourself and a good BF player. Long story short, in CoD, if you were a good player, your team didn't really matter, in BF, to be a good player, you must help your team.
On a different note, I can never help but be impressed by those imba helicopter pilots

You believe that BF3 sold for only half a million for PC? Really?
Nice job stuff out of context, Its a relatively short article, but you didn't even bother reading the whole thing before trolling.
The numbers aren’t 100% accurate as some digital retailers, including EA’s Origin, haven’t disclosed their sales numbers, so it’s likely that the numbers for the PC version are higher than reported. Just after Battlefield 3 shipped, EA reported that 10 million units were shipped.

Try reinstalling DirectX. If you get another error, note down exactly what it says and post back.

It doesn't matter if a game's development is focussed on PC, xbox and playstation will outsell it by a huge margin. Microsoft recently reported 50 million Xbox360 consoles sold over the past six years. That's huge. The amount of gaming PCs doesn't even come close to that.

Half way through development they switched SKU Focus to consoles from PC, the focus wasn't on PC for very long. Kind of evident due to the fact we don't have VOIP in-game, don't even have any chat functions in co-op. God I hate devs some time.

An M249 with an IRNV scope is insanely good.

And a bipod.
If PC sells less it will be made up for in the duration that players will remain active. BFBC2 still has players.

They indeed "Focused" on the PC, the lead platform was switched to the consoles halfway through development.

Guys I want to get a joystick for the jets in this game but I don't know which are compatible. Is there a site I can check or a link to some of the ones you use? The less expensive the better as this is the only game I'd be using it for.

I'd say most major joystick makers will have adequate products available. Get one with a rotating handle, so you have control over three dimensions. The rest is up to your preferences (like the price, number of buttons etc)
