Btw you didn't have problems with the enb before, right? Because ENBs can easily drop your fps to 1 if your pc isnt good enough.

I'd advice you to follow this for configuring your enb.

Worst case - backup then delete your ENBlocal.ini, skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini from their appropriate folders (ENBlocal in steamapps/common/skyrim; skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini from User/My documents/my games/skyrim and ModOrganiser/profiles/YOURPROFILE/) and use steam to verify game integrity to have them re-download, as well as re-adding ENBlocal. This will purge your INIs and let you start without them vastly modified (which happens over time during rigorous troubleshooting.)

Guys I need to remove Skyrim to clear up some space on my PC. Should I remove the mods first or can I just delete Skyrim and maybe reinstall it later without issues?

If you're using ModOrganizer, the files are separate from Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim, and needs to be deleted in ModOrganizer. Two folders in ModOrganizer contain your mods - download and mods. Delete the contents of mods especially, and downloads as well if you're not planning on reusing. Once you've deleted these, delete skyrim through steam as normal, then find steam/steamapps/common and delete the entire Skyrim folder to remove any extra files. You should also find USER/My documents/my games/skyrim and delete this folder, as it contains your savegames and .inis.
If you're using Nexus Mod Manager or freeballing without a manager, you should uninstall through steam as usual, then find steam/steamapps/common and delete the entire Skyrim folder to remove any extra files. You should also find USER/My documents/my games/skyrim and delete this folder.
If you're using NMM, you should also have defined a download folder for mods through that program. Find the folder and delete any content to free up space.

Nope didn't touch it since i setup my mods 4 month ago. I verified skyrim prefs and i have mouseaccel. I set it to 0.
I already did the .ini and verify witth no avail. Will launch with mouseaccel at 0 to see but i don't have high hopes ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
EDIT : mouseaccel didn't do that trick ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
EDIT2 : I'm giving up It's been a week i try stuff.

Has modding gotten any easier/simpler?
I went to play Skyrim again and the sensitivity was just too much to adjust and test (having to load the launcher then load my game).
Now BOSS is LOOT and Nexus Mod Manager has three install paths.
It really makes wanting to play these games or even Fallout 4 too much of a retooling chore to really want to play again, despite my urge to play a game where I can explore!

Just wait Three month for Skyrim remastered !!!
28th of October and you will not have the 4Gb limitation as before.
I'm just drooling not to have to configure FISS again to run warzone, civil war and sot at the same time.
No more fiddleing (or so i hope)

What 4GB limitation?
I'm just thinking about all the stuff I have to do to get Skyrim running remotely up to expectaitons of graphics and gameplay:
1. Nexus Mod Manager 2. BOSS/Loot 3. SKSE 4. Modifying the .ini files for sensitivity and various other settings 5. Installing mods, testing, replacing files or reading different settings installation paths if I want 1 part of a mod or want to remove another.
Makes my head spin. Is Fallout 4 any easier/different/less strenuous?

You could wait for Enderal.
Enderal (to be released July 1-3 of 2016 - English version some weeks later) is a total conversion for TES V: Skyrim: a game modification that is set in its own world with its own landscape, lore and story. It offers an immersive open world, all for the player to explore, overhauled skill systems and gameplay mechanics and a dark, psychological storyline with believable characters.

I'm still really advocating for you people to stop using Nexus Mod Manager and get on Mod Organizer instead. Seriously. NMM mashes the game directory and makes removing mods a pain, while MO allows effortless removal due to virtual drive. Also, integrated LOOT.
The only downside being MO taking more hard drive space.

The effort and testing still needed is a bitch, no? Does the difference in NMM and MO really make that much of an improvement?

Thanks for sharing this, all I have been following is skywind, but this one looks pretty sexy too.

Yes and yes. Modding Skyrim is still something you could run a course at university to teach to people and it'd be worth a few study points. It's complicated, annoying, bug ridden and the end result is many, many wasted hours for a game that will probably have increased CTD occurrence.
Still, if anyone wants to do it, do yourself a favor and ditch NMM and go Mod Organizer instead. The virtualization saves you *a lot of pain* when you try things out, reset and troubleshoot.

When you have 300mods like me. The 4Gb limitation can become a hassle really quick (SoT + Warzone + Warzone Assault is tricky to configure for them to run at the same time). So you need time to tune a lot of things. asicly it's like adding a point 6. to your list.
Fallout 4 is exactly the same thing. But there's no LOOT for FO4 as of a few month ago (maybe now) it's even worst to try out mods.
To be honest i have like 80 mods or so on FO4 and never had a crash or incompatibilities. NEver tweaked ini in FO4 buit i don't use ENB for FO4.

Could be interesting. If Skyrim remastered doesn't suit me i'll take a look. But i have faith. I want to have faith in a 64bit skyrim with a new engine. We will know soon enough.
MO is bettern than NMM but if you know what to install in what order NMM isn't that bad. Trial and error is much better with MO though you are right.

Is Fallout 4 any easier to mod or at least less convoluted?
|
Basicly same engine, almost the same mod tools, so my guess is no. Been a while since I last played FO4 though, maybe they figured out something better than for skyrim/fo3/newvegas

The only downside being MO taking more hard drive space. The effort and testing still needed is a bitch, no? Does the difference in NMM and MO really make that much of an improvement? There'll always be incompatabilities and crashes, but that's just how mods work for Skyrim. People tend to manipulate a lot of the same core objects for different mods (areas, enemies, items, factions etc), and when one mod queries the object in question and expects a specific result, but gets something else due to another mod which changed the same object, stuff will crash.
What NMM does, is add the files in your Skyrim directory while overwriting what is needed. If you want to remove the mod after discovering an incompatability, you're kinda screwed, depending on what has been overwritten. The game directory has been permanently altered, and the ghost of the mod still lingers in file overwrites and object alterations, something which can come back and haunt you later due to "unexplainable" compatability mismatches and random crashes due to these roaming spirits. Long story short - removing a mod with NMM doesn't neccessarily remove all the changes the mod did to your Skyrim folder.
This is where MO makes it a lot simpler. MO doesn't directly alter your Skyrim folder. Instead of overwriting as NMM does, it instead creates a virtual duplicate of the Skyrim folder where it does all the alterations. After the client is closed and you're done with skyrim, the virtual game folder is cleared. If you wish to remove a mod, you simply uncheck it in the MO client - this denies it to get loaded the next time, but since the files of the mod weren't forcibly added to overwrite anything in your base Skyrim folder, there's no damage done. Removing mods becomes a lot less hazardous thanks to this. If you get conflicts or crashes, it's a lot easier to remove mods one by one through MO untill you find the culprit, as you won't have to reinstall every time a core file gets modified.
But yea, crashes happens.

is ESO tamriel good? its 50% off now.
|
Is the skyrim remastered just better graphics on the same game or are they adding anything to the actual game?

It's the full MMO except the expansion packs with no sub cost. The gameplay is somwhere between Skyrim and Dragon Age Inquisition and not in a good way IMO. The voice acting and storyline are decent, but everything else is kinda shit IMO.
