I was reading the Bethesda mod forums checking out what people were talking about making when CK comes out, one thing I thought sounded awesome was real-time cart travel for when you pay the dude in the wagon to take you places. Would be neat if people/animals could attack you along the way. Can't wait to have people make new homes/ranches you can go in and blow up an entire town however you want and not get in trouble then go back a few days later and its all reset again. lol
I thought Uthgard was so ugly she's the perfect candidate for my little offering to Boethiah. Beat that bitch to a pulp, hired her, went to the place and sacrificed her as planned. Whoop-dee-doo, blablabla, got the Ebony Mail (sexy on Lydia), then some time later visited the Companions because they always have something for me to do. Found out that I needed to take care of 'a problem,' and that problem was Uthgard -_- how do I brawl a dead person? Jeez. Went back, console resurrect, instant brawl at the Boethiah grounds (lolz), console kill.

The Ebony Mail definitely looks good on female characters, and it's an extremely light version of ebony armor. Pretty handy.
Just want to say, I'm having such a blast abusing the heck out of Alchemy -- it's so ridiculously strong, even without using enchanting. Not hard at all to get +100% archery potions, poisons that deal 320 dmg over 10 seconds, 25 sec paralysis, and the best: 50% weaker to poison + 70 poison dmg (because the weakness to poison stacks!). With the poison lasting 2 shot perk, I take down any non-undead boss with 2 weakness poisons and 1 lingering poison, dealing well over a thousand points of poison dmg. So incredibly satisfying to see that health bar drain :D as they fall to their knees crying out, "No more! I yield! URGH" and keel over. Mwahahaha!

Be careful. If you want to have fun with Alchemy, try not to have too much fun. Before long, it will collapse upon itself and result in the most pointless gaming experience you can have in Skyrim.
...but if you really like it, then this is for you. Would not recommend trying this, but it's up to you. (Not sure if it still works tho)
Has anyone noticed how crappy and underdeveloped the Illusion skill was made? I never liked the skill in Oblivion, but they basically took out all the cool spells and made Illusion worthless. Basically, the entire skill tree gives you spells that only alter the combat stances of enemies. They can be made to flee, fight, or be calm *YAWN*. Then there's invisibility, which is worth something....AND THAT'S IT!!! What a waste of an entire skill tree.

It is pretty disappointing, especially considering it's one of the lines of magic (as well as alteration) that have the potential for some of the coolest and most fun spells if they were to actually develop it. I've always wanted to make an illusion/alteration character without using destruction/restoration in both Oblivion and Skyrim, but they've sadly just never done anything cool with those spell lines, so it would be completely boring to even try currently.
I agree about Illusion, but I want to point out that the master spells have a ridiculous AoE. Cast Mayhem in the middle of Whiterun and over half the city will be fighting each other xD.
Alteration is good for armor, paralyze (mass paralysis!), detect life, detect dead, and the atronach perk at least. If you wear actual armor then that's a different story.
Illusion is bad compared to its Oblivion counterpart because the possibilities are so limited and the spell's effects are all or nothing.

The armor spells are all pathetic and completely and utterly outclassed by actual armor, the detect spells are, I guess, somewhat useful if your character wants to sneak but sucks at it? and paralyze is okay, but you either have to grind or actually try to make use of those shitty spells before you can ever buy it. Atronach is nice but, again you have to grind or actually use shitty spells.
Of course illusion has less possibilities this time around. All the magic skills do except for perhaps conjuration which has only really lost the bound armor spells since Morrowind; Destruction has lost the weakness spells, restoration has lost the fortify skill spells, alteration has lost levitate, jump and open. There is, however, a difference between versatility and utility, and I would say that destruction, conjuration, restoration and illusion all have more utility now than they did in Morrowind.

It should still work. With my apparel I can one-shot everything and cast everything with no mana cost. I don't have a health, mana, or stamina bar anymore since they're so high. My boots are worth more than the GDP of Skyrim. But yeah, I wouldn't recommend doing this stuff until you've beaten the game legit.
So I got just the Skeleton Key on my second toon (Dark Elf Listener / Thieves Guild pimp / I'll blow your face off with my bow or just take your soul with my Molag Bal mace ^^) and I'm wondering if anyone has a list of good display cases and/or chests to go open with it before I return it to the Twilight Sepulcher, so far all I can think of is:
Chillrend display case in Riftwald Manor Display cases in Thalmor Embassy Display cases in Dawnstar Mythic Dawn Museum
