Nitty you MUST cube my stuff in the future. I've used 38 cubes and I've only gotten a cube I like (ie %stats and rank changes) once. Just a warning to people who decide to cube.

Nitty is luck trolling with all those cubes

Also, I hear new bosses like Von Leon have a potential block skill, which negates all potential bonuses and skills (decent HB, decent SE, etc) so you won't be able to rely on potential stats to equip things, just scrollings - but you shouldn't (ideally) have anything but abilities and %primary stat anyway, so....
If nexon's donating the money from it, I'll probably purchase a wedding ticket before this is over. I'm now serious when I ask people to marry me. Stay away from Terrible. Did you hear about what I did with terriblegear last night? Are you going to tell him who joined you?
Sorry Jay, it was just you and Roffles, because I was with Terrible last night.

Server check has been extended for 2 hours. Just an FYI if you haven't seen.

It's cheaper yes, but the gains you get from scrolling are a joke compared to %stats from a cube. If you get great % stat on one item it's probably better than all the stats combined you got from scrolling your equipment minus your weapon, gloves, belt, and shield ^_^ and even those might be a tossup...
@level120 with 50 base secondary stat you'll have about 550 of your main stat...A single 6% item will get you ~33 of your main stat. Depending on what you're scrolling you have a change to get 1-5 of that stat per scroll...
By level 140 if you keep 50 secondary you'll have 650 of your main stat. That same 6% item is now worth ~39 of your main stat whereas if you scrolled say an overall and managed to get 25 of your main stat on it it'll still be worth 25 twenty levels later...I don't doubt that cubing something to 6% might cost more than getting a 25 stat overall, but the extra investment pays for itself down the road.

You scroll for secondary stats, if possible.

What Kritty said.
Pot = % main Scroll = flat secondary
|
So I could just go for 100 base secondary, scroll for main stat (after I cube everything) and still come out ahead basically ^_^ As long as you can't get more of a secondary stat than a main from scrolling it doesn't actually matter...I'd just have to +10 levels to all the calculations to get my 50 extra secondary stats ^_^
More research must be conducted. I have quite a few levels before I'm going to bother with equipment anyways.

I agree with just one more thing to add. If possible scroll for attack.
Unless you have a low amount of %main equips (less than 90%+) one WEAPON (editted, sorry bams sometimes I forget about new characters, I'm noob to new classes lol) attack stat will give you more damage increase than 1% potential main stat.
Edit: Also it depends on what job. Honestly with LHC out, change in magic damage formula regarding int, and the retarded cooldown time on genesis, you won't get that big of a damage increase by going 50 luk and 100 luk. On paper you are going to say that you do more damage but between the time you are hs'ing and healing people in your party the extra damage you do to the mobs don't really get you a larger experience split.
Of course it used to be very different before bb where the number of hits it takes to kill at skeles drastically changes your training/leeching efficiency.
That's the gist I'm getting from talking to friends who are getting their bishops to 160 for bossing purposes. There isn't that big of a gap between the 50 luk bishops and 100 luk bishops in terms of leveling speed at LHC.

Really? My 7matt cape and my 3%int cape differ by about 90 topend range.

Lol sorry dude, I editted my post above. Anyways, I have no idea when it comes to magic attack formulas post bb.

Aren't your stats capped anyway at 999? Assuming I had the motivation to get to level 200 how much LUK would I have anyways just because my INT is capped already...
Min/Maxing is a hobby of mine. Just because it won't benefit me as much doesn't mean I won't bother ^_^ Do people really expect priests to heal them at LHC? Seems like a waste of effort ^_^
|
Well I went to LHC with about 40 health pots, but thanks to Ness I stayed there for an hour. :D

yea if im sacing then i better get healed... so much hp

Another day, another chapter in Nitty's cubing stories.
I cubed a cape 9 times in a row but it didn't get a useful stat once. I was annoyed at my "less than absurdly good" luck so I saved the last one for later.
Then I came back to use the last cube and got this:

I bet nexon's game is buggy and screws over people who cube a lot in a row.

Healing should give more experience then.
