The US most certainly does. I paid $5 to gamestop, and have access to all of the betas. There was a problem the week before cbt1 and the retailers not having the code, but they have them now. I recommend at least trying the cbt for $5, this game is excellent.

Tried this game the other day and thought it seemed ok, though I enjoyed playing in the Rift and Aion beta's a lot more. I think my mmo days have just come to an end due to insufficient time, so I requested a refund. I'm not sure if they'll refund me the money, but we will see I suppose

I can confirm that if you pre order from Gamestop for $5 you will get a key to be in all the beta's, If they don't give you a key at first then make them call the higher ups and you'll get it eventually.

This game is great, I'm a veteran of MMOs, with WoW probably being the best one, likely due to its familairty of the Warcraft universe and dungeon/pvp mechanics.

It's a shame this wasn't handled by a company with enough time/money to fix all the little shit that sticks out, like the terrible voice acting, and unoriginality in quests. Although, in retrospect you level insanely fast that it'd be a waste of time to deisgn mini-dungeons like WoW had (caves, canyons, underwater ships), so I'm assuming it's going to focus on end game content. Like i said, it's a shame though, because leveling no longer becomes memorable or an acomplishment when everyone flies through. I'm pretty sure I realized this myself when I clicked [NEXT] on every quest i picked up, ran towards the gold part on the map and killed shit before turning it in (rinse and repeat until 22).

I don't know if the actual release will have a Arena type system, but i feel its an important addition to keep all crowds playing your game; prestige from your achievements like Heroic Raiding and PvP ladder are what make people stay because its fulfilling and memorable. I imagine though from what i've read pvp is sort of like lineage 2's sieges and open world status.

I won't lie that I'm addicted at the moment, but i'm worried i'll regret putting so many hours into it in the long run. I don't have any hard feelings over WoW, since it gave me a good run for an expansion as well.

I agree that the voice-acting sucks and the quest design is terrible, but at least there is some variety in the non-instanced game environments later on down the line. For example, there's a multi-leveled mine, a large fairy castle, a demonic castle, a pirate's cove (which looks amazing on high/max settings), etc. These are all between levels 30-40 if I remember correctly.

Battleground selection seems pretty limited, but hopefully they introduce CTF sooner rather than later, as that was by far my favorite gametype in vanilla WoW. The politics system seems strongly tied to success in battlegrounds right now, judging by previous posts here and elsewhere about how you can win votes/points through BGs/PvP.
