anyway d2 is a great game but te fact that u can run away from your monsters so easily makes it less scary lolol and not being stuck in a claustrophobic dungeon is less scary haha | ||

That's morally wrong in the real world. In Diablo you mostly fight monsters (except in PvP, I suppose). Storyline-wise, however, you mostly fight demons, monsters and undead who are enemies of humanity. One possible exception are the Zakarum Priests and Zealots in act3, but I believe they are supporters of demons and they have been corrupted by Mephisto so killing them is somewhat justified. Also, because of the fantasy setting it's hard to associate violence in Diablo to the real world. After all, all of the cruelty against humans in Diablo are done by demons, not other humans. Now I'm 18, and I'm still amazed by the atmosphere of the game. I love the gore and dark themes done for the Diablo series. They're just so well done, man. The only other game I've played with amazing 'atmosphere' play comparable to DII is Half-Life 2. HL2's atmosphere is better than DII's in my opinion; but they're both exceptionally good games. I don't think Blizzard will let us down with D3 graphics. I mean, Blizzard's still got most of the Sons of the Storm, and those guys can make some absolutely beautiful artwork, and I?m sure Blizzard will use'em for D3. | ||

I liked waltzing through the rogue catacombs looking at the torture devices and dead half naked women... kinda freaky, but you get used to it. Lots of detail was put into D2 ant that made it great.
