I agree, this game is very disturbing, but I think it should be more a testament to Blizzard's incredible art design that the game still creeps people out 12 years later than it should be a problem. It's rated M for a reason, after all. | ||

Best part of diablo2 for me was playing with lights off, volume cranked up with my sub on and all the effects on with an untwinked character in singler player on hardcore. The challenge + atmosphere of the game made for many memorable gaming experiences that few games can capture. I'm just praying they don't tone it down for diablo 3, but I'm guessing they will with activision in tow. It's hard to judge based on the limited amount of media that's been released with the game so far, the art style looks the same just at a much higher resolution. EDIT: Upon further investigation I've found some hung corpses in the d3 screenies and recall a certain epic death animation from a boss, time to rejoice in gratuitous violence once again! | ||

You can actually DIE. FAST. Look at all the videos, you have to basically spam pots to even survive... but in D2? lvl 90 hammerdin just spam hammers and NOTHING could even touch him. That itself takes away so much thrill. | ||
