Well, right now Blizz confirmed there will be D3 on GamesCom in late August, which probably means no beta in August  (( | ||

Of EPIC PROPORTIONS!!! ============================================================ 1. First off. 30 days before the release of the game, we will stop playing computer games so as to build up our Gaming Lust to the point where it will burst. 2. Second, we both plugged our computers to big screen TVs a year ago and never looked back. It sucks for working but it's epic for gaming. However, when he comes over to my place for a LAN, I always lend him my old 22 inch since, you know, lugging a huge 50 inch TV around is not convenient. HOWEVER! For Diablo 3, I'm going over to his place (more room) and I'm bringing my 47'' over! Which brings me to my next point!!! 3. I'm not taking the time and risk of brignig my TV to his place for a simple weekend LAN, which means we're taking the friday AND the monday off from work! 4 day LAN baby! 4. To ensure optimal gaming capabilities and minimize self loathing, we wrote up a menu of healthy foods that shall be prepared before being consumed. But the first day I think we're ordering pizza because... come on, who doesnt like delivery!? 5. Looks like there is going to be a big media event at Blizz HQ on July 27th where they get to try the beta and get lots of info about the game and bnet changes. They are under a NDA until Aug 1st when I am expecting the BIG DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED!!!! diablofans.com invite announcement | ||

This event will be awesome, EVERYTHING we dont know yet will be answered and presented there. 1st August we will know everything, aww yeaaah :D And by big date, do you mean beta or release? Though you fail a bit at point 3. I plan on taking a week off work. Can you say 9 days plus friday night off for D3. @Me1234 I would love to, but I fear trying it at a convention because what would I do when I can't play it the day after because I don't have beta access or since the game isn't out. | ||

A quarter 3 target would basically put the beta in August (I don't see it possibly coming out before their fansite invite later this month). But blizzard isn't exactly good at making those soft deadlines. The SC2 event also didn't show all that much to be honest. It was just some single player missions and features with a bit of bnet 2.0. Hopefully d3 will be a little bigger, but im just expecting stuff like finalized skill trees and crafting mechanics. | ||
