All the games will be uploaded soon Dm13 isn't really worth watching tho unless you like watching someone crash and burn Gotta feel bad for dahang, he choked on his best chance for a tourney win and will probably never get it http://www.youtube.com/user/neoQLive/videos

hopefully I get one next month and maybe we can get some games going. pm me your player name if you're down since i have years experience in q3 and qlive, ill just give ya some tips you can try in the meantime q3/qlive are very aim based, more-so than quakeworld and q3cpm. never go higher than 110. high fov helps with movement, not aiming i recommend 90-95 get on the quakelive forum and ask for cfg tips i dont believe cfg editing is as important for qlive than in q3, but there are a few things you can use to help your game com_maxfps 125 cl_maxpackets 125 r_displayrefresh 120 (if you have a 120hz monitor) in_mouse 2 ( raw mouse input!) stick with ffa, clan arena, instagib, etc,( newbie modes) for a few weeks or months it probably isn't a good idea to jump into duel or tdm until you know the maps like the back of your hand and can aim well master strafe jumping asap its the fastest way you can move around in qlive and is necessary to be any good it's not very difficult to learn, it shouldn't take anyone more than 2 days. btw, movement in quakelive is the easiest to learn out of any quake game. idsoftware made a lot of changes to make the game easier for casuals. just telling you that in case you decide to try other quake games later on trick jumping still takes skill in quakelive and will take you a while to learn if you ever go that route trick jumping don't listen to 2gd, you'll have it down quickly without much issue. if you don't than something is probably wrong with your mouse ;p heres a guide on mice from some hardcore quakers http://www.esreality.com/index.php?a=post&id=2024663 if you have any questions on the game, just ask

I can increase my speed but it's nowhere near the pros. Can't do bridge to rail, can't jump the QL 3rd training (right most on the 2gd vid) easily ![]() I'm playing q3 on LAN btw since I get >0.1 ms delay on QL

I'm playing q3 on LAN btw since I get >0.1 ms delay on QL I find basic jumping noticably easier in QL than q3. The really difficult part to learn is the circle and getting good speed on your first jump. Once you get a little bit of a feel for that you'll find yourself picking up the strafe jumps really quickly just based on trial and error while playing. Circle jumps are incredibly unintuitive when you're learning them so don't feel bad that they make no sense ![]() After that pretty much everything else you could learn to do better will be more helpful than getting better movement - like timing, positioning, dodging, aim. The specific weird right angle jump you do on b2r isn't actually something you'll do too much, you don't typically need as much speed as that jump requires and will be swiveling <90 degrees.

That is why keeping track of the items is such a crucial skill - if you know you have the bigger stack then you know you should not lose an LG duel. Conversely if the opponent has control, you should not try to LG him, you should instead opt for a more elusive game perhaps with the railgun.
