EPTAnd i think my build actually gives you the best stats for the money you invest, however at the cost of "utility" (so you have very late CDR and slow from randu, ms/regen from fon, etc etc)

speaking as the bravest olaf (i once built 6 HoG and nothing else, truth) best build is cloth+5 madred HoG HoG+boots lantern swiftness randuin/banshee depending on team, usually banshee though FoN atmas | ||

Nowadays Garen, full-tank Xin, etc are considered "tanks" and are effective. This puts Olaf squarely in the bracket of them Udyr etc. which are tanks that do some decent damage and mostly just outlast the shit out of opponents. What happened to make this viable? Tough to say. Think back to when Olaf was released and everyone ran mass CC + ranged DPS teams. | ||

I get it cause it speeds up jungling quite a bit even without blue/lets you do dragon ALOT easier,turning it into wriggles for the free ward has helped me alot. I mostly just play him as a run in and shit on some poor carries face then sit there spamming E on anything not tank | ||

Or maybe it's just that I hate Kat, and Malph is a great counter to her once he starts stacking armor. Either way. Also, Tier 3 runes are EXPENSIVE  | ||

edit: the only way i could see him being a counter is strictly due to his passive fucking up her pokey pokey shit early game, but you specifically said later on when you start stacking armor. this is where is i lose track of where you're going edit2: even then, who the fuck solo mids malph? besides me that is i suppose i should note that every bloody time i play malph, its like we have a jungler, a solo, and two duo lane heroes, so i kinda get stuck going mid >.< | ||
