Well first of all, you have seen those "band" videos on youtube right? Usually, and I think this looks best, you have a part of the screen for each video/person, and is on even when that person isn't playing. If a song is really that hard and you need to take breaks, we could probably arrange it so that we could turn it "off" while you rest, and turn it back on when your part comes back on (aka you could record in parts).
But of course we should try to make it most professional looking by trying to record all in one go.

Also, this arrangement is pretty awesome. I like the picture too :D
@BnK
I'll have to say, out of every song I've heard of Atoguru + Mai Kotohge in C-CLAYS, that is the only one I don't like. At least, not yet. Actually listening to it now, I'm starting to like it ^-^
Ok I'm in love with this song. Maybe the first time i heard it i just turned it off after the weird Egyptian feeling at the beginning xD

Well, I was about ten seconds from posting the review when my computer crashed. I'm not gonna bother typing it all up again, so here's the album in question:
http://vgmdb.net/album/27805
The best tracks are Illusionary Night, Shanghai Teahouse, The Shrine at the Foot of the Mountain, Hartmann's Youkai Girl, and Stirring an Autumn Moon, in that order.

Yes... Of course I will do my best, I have experience from about 3 years or something now so I have a little bit of confidence. It's just that I have never played in a band or recorded before so I don't know if I'd be able to keep to the rythm etc. Have you done any recordings? I'd love to see And I have seen some band videos, those are really cool. But if we go with a retarded name we need a retarded video to match. I suggest we hide dildos in our bookshelves.

I don't like to share my channel but i'll do it anyways
here's my youtube account
Recording is very hard, especially when you try not to mess up a single note. It's like almost impossible, lol. My sound quality is pretty horrid too, and my piano sucks cus it's either loud, or really loud, and it's hard to press, too. Meaning it's like, the opposite of what I need to play those fast or calm, pretty touhou songs. Sigh. Though I have something to record with now that has a lot better quality. I have some anime songs and a couple touhou songs. Piano.
For the keeping rhythm part, it seems we will have to stay together by listening to the song and/or metronome (earphones, or out loud and record directly from instrument if it can do that). To be honest though, it is hard to keep in rhythm when listening to the actual song, so I would suggest just listening to a metronome, like metronome.com or something.
We can always do slight editing if we get off beat by a little, we can sync back up by speeding up / slowing down 1 of the parts just a tiny bit. I wouldn't say it is "cheating" because what can you expect if we're all recording individually? If we were playing in the same room and edited it, it would be cheating, but we're not xD
Edit: I forgot to link my YT account lol

Maybe it's because I like weird songs lol. Generic pop music is just not my taste.
That being said, can you recommend some good song from Mai? Now I'm in love with her voice.

Here you go.
Edit: The first video in the first link is taken down cus the guy closed his account Sucks cus he had all the subtitles in it (the song's lyrics are in japanese, engrish, and indian, and he also had subtitles translating the meaning, including fixing the engrish). So here's a new link. It's the first Mai Kotohge song I heard of her, introduced to me by i think Aeres.

Arranged by Atoguru
I just noticed that 3 songs I like a lot + Show Spoiler ++ Show Spoiler ++ Show Spoiler +http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NREh4U5oz_4
Are all sung by the same singer, Mai Kotoge, and arranged by the same person, Atoguru (except the third one), and are all by C-CLAYS Should have realized that, they have similar feel and all <_> + Show Spoiler +Set me free!! FRAGILE MIND!!! ~
So far they are all decent, i'm sure they'll grow on me more, this one sounds pretty cool though. It's a bit "dubstep"-y, but it's not as bland or obscure as most dubstep. Magus Night + Show Spoiler +Sounds pretty baller
Arranged by K2 - not as good as Atoguru's, but still good
The Mystery in your Town By C-Clays, sung by Mai Kotohge, but arranged by K2 instead of Atoguru + Show Spoiler +

This looks interesting. Row row fight da powrah! Wait you didn't realize that? =O Realize what? I mean yeah I realized in the beginning that it helps my note reading and a year or two later I realized that it helps composing but the more advanced it got, the more it weird it got.
I mean you don't need the ability to prima-vista inhuman rhytms(My teacher said that and she's awesome btw) or the ability to listen major/minor 6/4 or 6 chords as well as about 9-10 ending sequences in order to be a good composer.

Yeah since we are doing it online I think we should "cheat" in any way we can if that let's us do something we wouldn't be able to otherwise.

haha nice recordings :D

I invested 3k SEK in a Pod x3, I'm set to go :p Uuh that amounts to about 350$ probably

I dont have a mic, but i do have my mp3 player the iriver T30.
It's an old piece of junk, but the recording is actually really good, a lot better than my youtube videos and probably a little better than most piano videos on youtube. I had it even when i recorded those songs, but i never realized its recording ability was so good xD
My camera just sucks though, so unless your guys' cameras suck too, you should probably get some recorder, but it shouldn't cost too much, this isn't a professional thing xD.

Holy shit latedi what the FUCK IS SEK AHHAHAH
thank you google
wow that's $430 on google, must be a really new itouch or something with like 32 gb? Or maybe it's more expensive in sweden cus it's imported or something?

I really would like to practice, been so busy and will still be busy, but semester 2 of high school i should have time to practice... thank you touhou for making me passionate about piano, too bad it was too late haha.
Unless you guys want to go ahead I won't be able to do anything until January T_T
Edit: Holy shit that thing is 1 hour 27 minutes? lol nice

Post 1: It's like... A digital amp with many awesome sounds. I also think we should wear awesome retarded costumes. I don't have much but I can fis something, also gotta get a webcam haha I never owned one in my life.
Post 2: Yeah, no...
Post 3: It's never too late ! Don't say thay ^^ I was really old when I started playing guitar but I do it because it's fun. And now I'm in college, still stucking at it.
On another note: I love your piano songs <3

Haha if this were to happen, we should do it like sometimes during winter break? I'm kind of busy with classes and midterms (2 this wednesday ;_;)
And I don't have any of my instruments with me It's all back home
We can always plan and pick a good song/arrange though if we are really going to do this

cALLER CALL THE LYRICS
I love this thread so much, we should be our own sub-forum. There seems to be more people every day xD
I remember back when I started coming, there was like a post 1 time a day, sometimes even less, like 1 time every 3 days.
But yea winter break is too early, unless winter break for you is like in january? (you're in college right?)
Of course I won't give up Latedi, my dream is to be a concert pianist or composer or something like that, it's just that of all the 12 ish years I've been playing, I've only played "passionately" for 2-3 years total, which would be around kindergarden, and just this recent year. I wish my parents were the strict kinds, so that I would have been really really good now. For all my elementary/middle school years, I only practiced like 15 minutes a day, a few times a week, and once i hit like middle school it was like 2 times a week, 15 minutes. Quite pitiful.
I probably won't make it as a [full-time] concert pianist at this rate, i would have to go all-in, but i can always get a piano minor or double major in college, and practice in my free time since it's fun anyway, and maybe join a touhou circle and record/arrange songs (learn japanese in college xD), or just make a good youtube channel.
Life has such difficult decisions though, should I take Japanese or Korean or Chinese? Jap and Kor are obvious, but chinese is because my parents are hong konginian. I just wish that japan/korea/china spoke the same language ^-^;. Etc.
Maybe i could even major in tech/media and piano, then work for GOMTV. That would be a dream job, but i probably wouldn't get as much money as I would like if i were to have a family.
Life sux -.-; haha. But at the same time it can be beautiful.

Yeah this thread is huge, has been here as long as I can remember. I think i began lurking TL in 2009... I didn't really keep track of many thread back then heh I was only looking for bw strats.
My winter break should be somewhere in december/january but to be honest it doesn't matter for me that much. My college is pretty slack and I have a lot of spare time, hence why I play so much SC2. The only time I'm really busy is at the end of the courses in spring, they're the courses that requires the most time.
Other than that, yup life is really hard :p It's kind of hard to plan for it. My problem is I want to do like a lot of different things and I won't be able to do it all before I die... Hmm that's a problem, gotta choose some. Or someone make a medicine which allows us to live for an additional hundred years or so, then I'd be happy.

Haha. add me on SC2 i'm yoshi.855
yeah really im disappointed in american school system
For example you have to know if you want to get married, if you want to have children. From there you decide what careers you can do. From there you decide your college. From there, high school. And then from there, prepare for it from elementary school.
But too bad, it's capitalism, and universities are businesses, not schools...
They just like, expect you to know this stuff. I really hate that. Most people I talk to don't or didn't even know about SAT2 s until it was too late (too late to take AP classes earlier in junior year to prepare, instead of in senior year)
It seems that in places like korea and japan and european countries, it's a lot lot lot better.
Edit: Oh, you live in Sweden. Maybe you can tell me about it? xD Supposed to be the happiest country in the world.
When I think about it, it seems like we met and passed a point in history where life was "good". And now it's getting better in some ways, but just worse in many many other ways. And overpopulation and things like that are really ruining life. Cus it's so competitive, and in the modern world it's all about specialization so you can serve the world efficiently, it just feels like you don't have much freedom.
Anyway I hope i have a lot of free time in college :D I hear in many cases there's much more time than in high school. At least, for those who take advanced classes in high school like AP/IB etc. etc.
Here's a song I really like, and want to play on piano. Too bad I can't find any recordings of the song where the pianist actually plays the solo part (the part with all the semi-quavers AKA 16th notes) well. This guy is the 2nd best I've seen at it, the other one is marasy8 but he speeds some of his videos so... <_> lol
Disappointing cus even this guy doesn't do it too well. For all the other versions I've seen, they fail pretty hard at it xD
