Starcraft is a living, breathing game. No other game can balance itself without a patch like Starcraft can. <3 Just quoting myself ;P

"6) Sair prepare ground for drops." This is a great point. Without clearing overlords, it's impossible for any drops to do any damage at all.

Took a while for the pros to find the best way to seize it and use it though. Now, Zerg is prey. More than anything else, it's the change in attitude amongst protosses as they go into that matchup. Credit to Bisu. It takes a pretty unique mind to transform "kills air units" into "controls game flow" ![]()

Start with a 4 base saroun zerg. Iono zerg needs mobility and map controll, and I can't quite think how they can do that w/ sairs flying around.

I mean, if toss drops a DT on you, just burrow your drones. Toss likes to harass with 15'ish sairs -> burrow 20 hydras on their "expected" route. Ensnare might seem good vs corsairs (in fact, it IS good), but it's too unstable because if you don't notice them in time, queen takes 1 second to die. Since sairs are so fast and usually are the ones coming out of the darkness, most of the time you will have too little time to react. But as a complementation to a hydra force... well who knows. Whoa there buddy, forgetting something? Parasite comes standard with queen. You parasite the corsairs = vision.

I'd say we are in front of a new gen PvZ when i will be able to count more than 30% P in a main Korean League (OSL is 3/16 = 18,75% - MSL is 7/32 = 21,88% while on an ideal world should be 33% - ). As for now we surely have some outstanding Protoss player (Bisu, Ra, Stork and Free) but the rest still strunggle cause of the imba mu and the qualifiers has shown it.The fact that we find always the same name in the finals round clearly say that we are in front of some really above average players. Z were used to have percentage of winning against P of +60% now that maybe this has changed into +59% for several reasons, someone rumours there's new PvZ era? I don't think so, Bisu has helped a lot of P thinking that the mu can be win with maximum effort but no more ... he has helped P changing their attitude toward the mu. Also consider that a lot of P spend more time training the PvZ that playing any other mu, i have watched/played so many of them that i consider this my best mu even if i regularly lose by same skill Z opponents. Cors/dt is now new, and the mu is still very very hard. We have a HERO P with a great PvZ winning record which is Bisu, but if you look at Z players many of them have excellent records vs P players not to mention the king of them, Mr Savior who in spite of losing last MSL to Bisu for 3-0 can still shown an absolutely impressive 73,85% ZvP wins. Not bad, but if u look at stats u'll find out there are other Z with very good recs here. Once there was a really great articles on this site about map balancing and stuff, and there was a lot of idea about what people though about balancing (the articles used extended data from PGT results on different maps). This was very clear and neutral analysis and the guy pointed out in some sort of not wanted "ironic" way what people used to consider imba. He said a map with PvZ like 52% - 48% was considered very imba for P while a 60% - 40% stats for Z was considered somewhat "normal". This tell a lot about Z players and about the mu i guess. Too bad i can't find this article anymore. Anyway ... cheers for BISU our new HERO!
