I caught the match against Gumiho, but tbh it wasn't convincing. Really sloppy and lots of mistakes on both sides. Not that I'd expect Zest to show good builds for a $250 online cup right now.

Not sure if we watched the same series, but the games he won looked really good I thought. Lots of build variety and overall just solid play and good execution.

Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but the games he won seemed more like Gumi messing up (by which I mean, I can't imagine him winning like that if it were Maru on the other end).

The blueshift game stands out to me when Zest had 2K banked at 150 supply while Gumiho was death pushing him. He managed to win because Gumi couldn't take a good fight, but it could have been much better.

Yeah that was the only game where his macro slipped a little, but that was in part due to triple robo disruptor eating all his gas. That game honestly never looked problematic for him.

The charge/storm game was great. He actually did the old WoL Startale single forge/charge/storm build after robo opening and completely destroyed GuMiho. I'm praying to the StarCraft gods that it's a legitimate build again. Templar PvT was the best.

Him not doing supertournament means he'll almost certainly drop down to rank 5 or 6 korea, which takes him out of the hardest blizzcon group (the one with Serral). That was the only possible group I wouldn't favour Zest to get out of, so this is probably a good thing.

I mean to be honest it's not that unlikely. His road to the finals isn't that tough now. And it's well within his abilities to beat any of the players from the other side of the bracket too. I still wouldn't bet on it but it'd be pretty cool.
