Hey guys toast here! Looks like zest will play vs Heromarine first which i think we can win. Then it will come down to the winners match vs Serral or SoS im more confident in zests PvP right now. I think we have a good shot to get out of the group and seeing Zest on the big stage!

Losing to heromarine would be extremely disappoiting.
I don't think he can beat Serral but he has a fair chance against $o$.

That's a hard group. Sure facing Heromarine is a good start and he should be able to win but then he has to take either Serral (we know that Zest's PvZ is not the best and Serral is really a beast) or SoS (quite unpredictable so hard to practise and SoS' PvP looked impressive althrough he lost to Classic in GSLST2.
We will see, I think he has 50% chance to qualify. Then let's hope he will not face Maru directly.

If he can't beat sOs then he doesn't deserve to advance anyway. He normally does really well against him.

I don't know if we can state it after just one match but yeah, he should be able to beat him althrough I think sOs is one of the most unpredictable protoss. And we know that Zest has some problem reading the game at the moment

His 7k+ account has been there for a while, but he's not been playing on it. Only a single game this season. There's a 6833 MMR account in Masters with 32 games, but that too has been inactive for a while. Considering this is similar for almost all the top players right now, it seems to me like everyone is playing customs to prepare for BlizzCon. Either that, SC2unmasked isn't updating, or he's playing on a new account that SC2unmasked hasn't figured out yet.

Hey guys, it's only 10 more days until Zest's match at BlizzCon. How are you guys feeling about him and his chances?

As the worrywart I am, of course I'm very worried right now. I think Serral advancing out of the group is already a given, so then it would probably boils down to Zest vs sOs. I wonder what sOs' form is like right now. If Zest and sOs meet at the Winner's Match it would probably be the most insane thing to happen this year lol.

It's expected that Serral will advance first, unless sOs can perform a better form than what he had in the recent Super Tournament. Vs sOs though, I'd say it's split 50-50 because these 2 Tosses are good in PvP, in times, it's Zest who wins (Like the one he had vs Stats). Other times, it's sOs, though that might depend on his opponents. Still, I'd vote for sOs to advance as much as I like Zest.

I don't think Serral will advance from the group. sOs 2 - 1 Serral, Zest 2 - 0 [insert whoever else is in the group], Zest 2 - 1 sOs, Serral 2 - 0 [insert blah blah], sOs 2 - 0 Serral.

This wouldn't be that surprising of an outcome actually, if you strictly look at results instead of hype.

Serral is definitely the favorite to get out 1st in that group but i honestly think that both sOs and Zest can beat him if they prepare so it should be exciting nonetheless.
About the high possibility of a Zest vs sOs decider, hard to say. Basically 50-50 at that point in my eyes.

Heromarine should be a walkover for everyone in the group. So Zest would have to beat either Serral or sOs once to advance.

I'd favour him against sOs, he's usually the better PvPer.

Against Serral his best bet would probably be some type cheese. I don't see him winning lategame there unfortunately.
