Zest is in good shape. He can handle Solar and Patience.

Frankly I'm tired of all this Maru hype as well. They actually had the nerve to call him the SC2 Flash. Why do they always over hype players who are hot?

Zest's demeanor was encouraging. He named no person or race he was concerned about or wanted to play in the interviews. He was not trying to avoid or join any group. He seems very confident.

I think Solar is the better player but I like Zest's chance to advance. He might have a good shot of taking down Maru as well.

His group is certainly doable. Solar struggles against toss and Patience is Patience. Zest has really good PvT but even if he doesn't beat Maru he still has a great chance to advance in second.

Should be make ro8, he'll face someone from group C as well, which outside of Dark is also doable.

soO was probably refering to the idea of him being seemingly unbeatable right now. So far only Classic was crushing him, and now terran just got some massive buffs. He's obviously not a bonjwa but the hype is certainly justifiable

I can see him getting to the RO8. But I can just as easily see him lose out to any of these players.

Well not hyping your raining champion would be weird, hype is part of the fun in a tournament.

Anyways I don't see Zest losing to Patience or Solar, and maybe he could beat Maru, who knows ?

my bad, gsl looks good for zest tho, should be able to take 2nd as long as he beats solar, maybe even 1st since maru's pvt is his weakest and zests strongest

I don't like the group for him. It's all players that have historically had his number. Solar and Maru are great vP and in good shape, while PvP is quite volatile at the moment and Patience is a really tricky opponent.

It could have been much worse looking at the quality of players left, but these happen to match up well against Zest historically.

I'm not optimistic, even despite Zest being in good form online.

I most wanted him in group B because I thought he could handle Dear and Gumiho and I liked his chances more against SoO than Dark or Maru.

If he can't beat Patience then it all doesn't matter anyway does it? Patience is viewed as the weakest player of the whole 16.

A question for Olli and anybody else who is worried about his PvP.

Which Protoss would you rather have in his group than Patience? Every player in the top 16 is damn good but if you had to pick a Protoss in this group he would be one of them right?

I certainly rather have Solar in his group than Dark or Rogue. So what more can we ask for?

Zest will easily advance, maybe even 1st place, depends on how the patch changes play out
