Considering that HerO is still often perceived as a PvZ specialist, It's a testament to how much his PvT has improved, and how good it actually is at that matchup. HerO's PvT is genuinely one of the most underrated matchups out of almost any pro player I can think of.
Kind of ironic that an historic PvZ specialist, is actually probably struggling the most in that matchup! Hero slaughtered Symbol in GSL as well. Oh he did, I wasn't trying to say HerO's PvZ is terrible by any means. What I feel the issue was is that a lot of his games he plays for 3-4 base super-long macro game and tries to harass a lot. This style is good, but when he's going for it every game Zergs took notice of this and improved defence. They could take bigger risks to blind-counter his style and this is especially important as it's a style that is harder/more risky to play than turtle into BL/Infestor. Dreamhack is actually what has given me a lot of confidence for HerO going into IPL5. He was executing Immortal/Sentry extremely well, which wasn't the case in his last GSL games for one. He was also doing more 3 base timings and stuff like that. I'm reading between the lines a lot here, but I do feel this shows that HerO is re-evaluating some of his PvZ. He perhaps felt in that matchup he was in danger of 'doing an Idra', namely playing the same style game in, game out, and that Zergs were increasingly trying to counter his specific style. A player with HerO's multitasking intensive lategame is scary enough, but a player with that and the capacity to pull off crisp timing attacks is a hell of a lot more dangerous.
Thanks for clarification.
I couldnt agree with you more.
Playing safe macro style is good, but you need to mix
in different strats like 2 base immortal all in, creator prime style 3 base
timing attack etc etc. What I noticed from Hero's game against Snute is that he really
refined his immortal all build compared to how he did last time against Curious.
Edit: I saw the interview on liveonthree.
Happy to see him smile but the interview was quite bad tbh

Good luck in Las Vegas, HerO! Would be very cool if you could win IPL5 too

Edit: I saw the interview on liveonthree. Happy to see him smile but the interview was quite bad tbh Ah, that was exact the game I was thinking of too, the Snute one. I noticed that his build was actually tighter, like he was leaving a good minute before he did in his GSL games. His prism micro was excellent, as was the execution of other parts of the build.
I'm not sure why, I think in the GSL games he was trying too hard to hide it/fake out his opponent, rather than committing outright to it. He might have overestimated his opponent's ability to defend a tight Immortal allin for example, so tried to be tricky and ending up failing horribly with it.
As it is, I personally feel HerO is a better player than say, Parting, based on an average of their proficiency in all 3 matchups. If HerO had more crisp timing attacks in his repetoire he would piss over just about every Protoss in the world in terms of gameplay.

I wanted to stop djwheat when he asked about hero playing with his brother because I knew it was 99.9% wrong, but I thought that it might have been something that I didn't know about hero I think he confused him with sullyrabbit, but imho the biggest problem was slasher shitty connection, I don't even know if hero could ear something with all that noise

I agree 100%. HerO is one of the absolute smartest players in the game but he often ends up tricking himself or trying too hard to outsmart his opponent when it might be better to just go brute force. With that godly micro of his, if he straight up executes something like an immortal/sentry all in like he did against Snute, I doubt he'd drop any games at all.
I think it's best to see in HerO's PvT at the moment. Pretty much every decision he makes in the matchup is super smart, probably because he feels confident in the matchup and understands it really really well. That's why you see him do things like build 7 colossi against aLive or go DTs against a one base terran. He just reads the game insanely well and plays according to it. I think his perceived PvZ weakness is purely due to confidence issues. I still think his understanding of the matchup is the best out of every single protoss in the world but that gets to him as he always has in mind how hard the matchup really is. If there's something like a "light at the end of the tunnel/lategame", which might still develop, I really believe that HerO will go right back to being the best PvZer in the world almost instantly. And then, ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves an all around MONSTER of a player.

He dyed it dark red-ish is what I think it is Though I really really really want him to go back to gold OR fulfill his promise to me (silver).
