Personally I think he was tired of all this balance crap with the infestors so in order to show he is truly amazing he is trying not to use infestors

I think he got somewhat bored of infestors, and wanted to explore new strategies, to increase the fun factor of his gaming career; thus, creating additional motive for himself to continue gaming professionally. It's obvious to me, because Stephano is clearly not someone who tolerates monotony, as evident by his lack of willingness to train for hours on end.

He obviously dreamed about it because he is the zerg hero.
(he actually said that during an interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xucGN7hQkQE)
As other people said, I think he wanted to do something new, something refreshing. Working quite well so far!

LOL, Stephano is making Hydras work in WOL. Wait until he can use vipers and hydra speed in HoTS. There will be no stopping him. Gogo Stephano!

I'm glad an admin had the sense to execute the temp-ban. are you an xlord fanboy or somethin?
Okay it is time to snap out of it.... This fanclub has never been about bashing anybody so OP is right.

Roach/hydra composition is very micro-heavy, which is no surprise that Stephano can pull it off. He's had limited success with it prior to this tournament, but now it seems he has polished it much more. TLO was known for his creativeness in the beginning of WoL days, but Stephano has been the only person, foreigner or otherwise, whose skill matches his ability to innovate. Stephano still falls back on infestors-heavy composition from time to time; showing that he is very flexible, and that his new style is only an addendum to his already enormous repertoire.
ADD: I don't know if you guys have noticed, but his creep spread has become significantly stronger. I suspect that his creep spread is now comparable to, and perhaps gradually becoming better than, Scarlett's creep spread; due to the need for very large creep territory to maximize hydra effectiveness. Stephano and Scarlett have had some communications recently, so I'm sure her crazy creep spreading had rubbed off onto him.

What i've come to understaad is that Stephano won't spread creep like a mad man if he doesnt have a good reason for it. For exemple in PvZ he doesnt bother to do it because protoss has observers and he plays infestor heavy (so no need to surrond in the middle of the map). In TvZ when he needs the speed for hydra, he's just amazing at it.

That's a good point. He seems to prioritize aspects of gameplay very well, depending on the specific match; which is essential, as one can only click and button-mash so fast, so it's wise to know how to spend those clicks/presses. Couple that with his crazy APM, great things can happen... such as roach/hydra godliness. :D

Snute will be tough, i think he has like 35% chance to win. But he had an awesome run overall in taking revenge on MMA and MKP.

Yeah, and even if he win he will have to face another ZvZ in the final. I don't think he will win this unforunatly, but still a good performance, showing such a dominating and ispiring ZvT. Anyway, let's hope for the best! Go Stephano!

Oh man, that first game was perfect. Purely outplayed Snute.
