That's not true. You don't face GM opponents ONLY if you're in GM. It's all about MMR. He faces plenty of GM opponents each day. For example, Dimaga, Type.real, Ret etc..etc.. for the last 2 days.

It's actually far harder to split lings because the lings once split will run back toward the banelings (because they only have a melee attack). The Marines, because they have a ranged attack, will stay put and fire. Also marines' speed once stimmed is 3.375 -- which means they're pretty fast.

Stephano is playing in the MLG Invite-Only Online Qualifiers (European Section) this weeked. There are 18 players and he needs to finish in the Top 9 to qualify for the MLG Spring Arena.

This seems very achievable considering he needs to only defeat one opponent.
Although these games will be played this weekend, they will be broadcast in the middle of May, so if anyone finds out the results ahead of time, please do not reveal them in this thread. I think it is fine to react to Stephano's results in this thread, but no-one likes spoilers for games that have yet to be broadcast. Leaking results also damages Tournaments and is in fact 'killing e-sports'!

Just wanted to say that I was watching Stephano's stream yesterday and his rage was eerily similar to Idra's. Slight differences but it was definitely similar enough to make me chuckle.

OK. I actually think that benefits Stephano, as Double Elimination system actually favours the better players, as one flukey loss will not eliminate a player. Having said that, I don't like the system precisely because it helps reduce the likelihood of a shock upset winner.

I'm not sure if this is new, but Stephano just announced on his stream that he has been invited to Code S but he's not sure yet if he is going to accept the invite.
