You are underreacting. Occupy Gom Studio.

GOM just threw that to su so they could try to fix a part the shit they had just done when they perceived the majority of foreingers SC2 fans(WE WHO ARE ACTUALLY PAYIN THIS) think the punishment is not proportional.

- Your suspension of Naniwa shows a clear lack of respect for outside foreign cultures.
A factor necessary if you wish to be called, and considered, the Global Starcraft II League.
- The fact that you rushed this decision in one day suggests that you failed to consult Naniwa, Quantic or any entity who would understand the cultural difference. Further proof to me that your organisation is in fact not professional.
These were rash, ill-considered actions that show what little foresight and wisdom your organisation holds.
- Finally, the actions of Mr. Chae who publicly defamed Naniwa stating he was a "money hunting amateur" show that your company has very little respect, values or self-control. Ironically characteristics which you chose to suspend Naniwa for purportedly not having.
I am not currently a paying subscriber because I cannot currently afford it. However, before this event I had the utmost respect and enthusiasm for your company and tournament and intended to purchase a subscription as soon as I was capable of doing so (re: soon).
I have watched over 90% of the material you have provided in 2010-2011, adding to your stream numbers. Furthermore, I have openly supported your sponsors. I purchased a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and have change my consumption from Coca-Cola to Pepsi and back to Coca-Cola. I have sent an email to Sony Ericsson telling them of my motivation to purchase. I will never do anything like this again, your company's sponsorship means nothing to me now.
I was a dedicated, zealous supporter of your organisation but your actions mean that I will never return to my previous level of dedication.
I feel offended by your actions.
Thomas
Your words truly reflect my feelings and reaction to the passed events. I used your mail as a blueprint for one of my own. Thank you for the good wording and inspiration to actually direct my feelings in the right direction.

The ruling was unfair on three counts. 1) Naniwa could not have known that this punishment was coming beforehand, the rule did not clearly state what it was prohibiting ( Abusive behaviour that offends? It's the internet you can pet a puppy in the most caring and loving way possible and someone will still get offended ). It did not state what the punishment meted out will be even if we can prove that there was absolutely no doubt the behaviour was both abusive and offensive. What GOM has done here is the equivalent of a judge saying " Oh btw littering carries a death sentence, It's not actually in our penal code but we have a mandate that allows us to mete out whatever punishment we want "
2) The punishment is disproportionate. A suspension for probe rushing? An act that was not intended to offend?
3)Nani earned his code S seed the same way anyone else did ( MC, DRG etc ) his position was achieved through accomplishment, through the MLG GSL exchange system. This "punishment" is in effective a violation of the agreement set out in the exchange system. An agreement that, unlike this random rule they pulled out of their hat, is actually clear in its rules and outline.
So if GOM really seeks professionalism, deal with things in a professional manner. Set out your rules clearly, dont stretch/bend any rules in order to justify whatever you want to do. Want to talk about respect? Respect the pre established agreements. A lot of things in the world will offend, but it doesn't mean you have to deal with everything in a petty, childish manner. A professional organisation should not base its own actions on heat of the moment sentiments, nor should it base its decisions on something as subjective as the offensiveness of the material at hand.
TL;DR Actually enforcing a rule as vague as the one stated is about as unprofessional as an organisation can get.
P.S Anyone comparing to coca's incident, that actually had a direct effect on code A seeding and therefore prize money. Substantial effects, unlike what naniwa did. In fact, none of those 3 arguments have anything to do with any personalities involved, it's just plain simple application of fairness and logic. Perhaps gom might consider applying those two concepts in the future

I think that fell through. It's Startale Sase and Naniwa was supposed is suppose to be at.

You guys need to relax. This is no different than when the UFC reduces number of fights to guys who just dance around and never fight. We PAY to watch matches. GOM makes money from players playing. When a player reduces the content for paying customers, I think it is only right that the offending player receive punishment from the organizers.
Nani is losing respect for his own actions. From the mlg match with nestea, his comments, and now this. Its hard to support someone worse than idra.

Gah can someone plz kill me, I cant stand reading any more stupied arguments from people who think this is correct. I mean people post over and over again the same stupied comparission to sports that are just no were near equal or a correct comparisson, but still they just keep going.
And all this bs about what a epic grudgematch they were all looking forward to. Like a failed 4gate would have made people satisfied.

People are mostly arguing the punishment exceeded the crime.
And please get out of Naniwa's fan club thread. Judging by your last sentance you are hardly a fan.

keep it up nani. i am still a nani fun, and this was stupid from GOM side.

worst than idra? lol.
k im an idra fan, but thats just ridiculous.
1. idra leaves games earlier than he should. that disappoints his fans. 2. he talks shit to people just because of their play style.
how about people say what they actually feel and tell us that they only hate naniwa because the person he bmed was nestea?

idra forfeits many tournament games... latest one was 7/8th place match vs haypro (afair)

Why you come to his fanclub to say that it is hard to support him? Makes no sense.

That's the worst part about it. The scale of hypocrisy on the internet is insane. Let's hope Naniwa understands it and doesn't take it to himself.
