I agree. Where is the progamer idra who spent years in korea training, it's as if hes had a complete switch now. He could hold his own in Code S for awhile when he was fresh from training hard in CJ pro house. Maybe he is content with being able to get a lot of money from streaming/coaching/being on EG, etc now that his popularity has soared
Or maybe he just doesnt have as good practice partners? Maybe that is the fucking solution?

yeah but that doesn't matter, you can practice on ladder in korea and it is good training as well. Lots of good koreans, of course its better to be able to focus on one match up but other then that where you might play a zerg or toss, it was still good practice. A lot better then EU/NA as you play a lot more good players.

Whilst I agree with your post, the quote I've bolded was pretty inaccurate. JD is probably the BW-player that garners the most "He's in a slump"-posts when he loses in OSL/MSL.
I'm pretty happy with IdrA's play lately, staying in games until the end, and trying strats he had previously discounted - e.g. the games against TT1. I bet we'll see something great by Raleigh.

It is obvious that Idra hasn't been as good as he used to be lately but he is practising full-time now. Just like he was able to perform well for a few months without training properly, it will take some time of putting the hours before the progress becomes evident. This is the way everything works - StarCraft, sports in general, working out in the gym, etc.
