Terran is a respectful race now

Their 50 damage siege tanks and uber strong timings attacks were all nerfed. Now you need skill and micro and multitasking to play terran, how it should be.

I also think that 3 hours a day isnt enough to stay at the top, maybe of foreigners, but not of koreans.

#15423 But more practice - definitely. Anyway, Idra played well compared to his performance yesterday. He made a lot of good decisions and the games were not one-sided. He wasn't as fast as he usually is but this was to be expected, considering his state. Still, it seems to me that yet again he got intimidated by the large force near his base and attacked a bit sooner than he needed to. :/

If MC had pushed to his third from that point, IdrA's roaches could flank from behind; if MC had pushed to IdrA's main at that point, he'd have to engage in the more spread-out area just outside the choke. The situation is incomparable to that in game 1, where MC had the high ground and was equipped with a veritable 170+ supply colossus doomball as IdrA's forces slowly trickled in. Blink finished when Idra tried to tunnel under the sets of forcefields. Sending say 10 roaches out and around thru MCs 3rd wouldn't help because MC can simply blink ontop of them with his stalkers while Idra has to burrow under the forcefields with his main army. Both armys (of idras) have to attack at the same time or be picked apart and blink and forcefields allow MC to dictate when he engages either attack.

I just found a thread about Stork's girlfriend. Did he quit the relationship? There's no hard evidence as far as Stork goes (only speculation that his GF caused one of his many slumps, he's also had troubles with WoW addiction) but there was a story about a certain STX player (name withheld) that was undergoing a slump so severe that the coaching staff decided that he must have been seeing a girlfriend in secret. Sure enough, they caught him sneaking out after a few months. Korean netizens (and TLers) speculated that the player was Calm since he was in the middle of a massive slump. Korean coaches in general, it seems, discourage their players from having GFs.

#15430 Could be wrong though but at this point how many more games is Idra going to drop to MC doing the same exact type play? Macro isn't going to beat MC alone...

#15431 And I get it, Idra is not in a position where he needs to be 100% focused on it, because he's no longer in Korea, he's not making a living out of being in the GSL and GSL-related tournaments, and so on. Also, I will have to disagree with the SC1 comparison, for the simple reason that SC1 was about dominant players. Sure, we have some in sc2 as well, but there are no Boxers yet, no Nadas (lol, you know what I mean!), no Bisus, no Saviors and no Flashes. Yes, there are players who do WELL a lot, but there are no players who positively DOMINATE everything like bonjwas did in SC1. My point is, in order to be 100% dominant, like Flash, you HAVE to train 10+ hours a day. You just have to, because everyone you play is weaker than you, to some extent, so you have to improve by pure practice alone, since you can't learn from someone better. This is not the case in sc2, yet, but you still need to be in the zone in order to be on top. If you're not playing 8 hours a day, you probably won't win a bo3 against someone who does. And this is why they are saying that Idra, having a gf, is taking away from those hours of training. It happened in SC1 as well, but I think it has a bigger impact in SC1. But something tells me that MC trains a lot more than Idra, even with both having GFs and such.

#15432 Too bad you had to face MC Idra. You could have won game 1 for sure. Game 2 the mass roach thing didn't work out and lotsa mistakes and all that. Relax and just have fun at the homestory cup. It's not a shame to lose to MC.

#15435 Training with oGs or IM is not the same as training with EG or NA ladder. It's why IdrA will never be able to have a win rate as high as NesTea, even if they practiced the same and were the same skill levels.

#15439 Basically idra's train of thought is, "well i'm not gonna win this so why bother trying" Idra, if you're reading, Take a break dude, clear your head and think hard about what you want out of the rest of your life, seems you are not happy doing this anymore, and if you are and you want to be successful at it with tourney wins and great performances.. move back to Korea the NA ladder is dragging you down
