Notwithstanding that, in the days of yore Idra was one of the few foreign players capable of hanging with the Koreans, some of my favourite SC memories are from those halcyon days. Hope he can return to that one day

I rarely watch his stream anymore, because lets face it he doesn't want to play sc II, I have more fun watching catz who likes playing the game, but is a lesser player than idra on paper. Ah I see. Either way was disappointed in his games and behavior. A bit of bm is fine, but gotta back it up. But what bugs me is the way he went after demu. You never hate on teammates. It is wrong. I played baseball and we had a guy who was pretty bad, but we encouraged him and he ended leading the team in home runs his senior year.

I agree. You could be the most BM player in the world, as long as you can back it up with your play. When you BM every single player you go up against, including in some cases teammates... Its just sad. Humility is a great thing to learn when you're struggling.

Popularity wise I wouldn't be too worried if I were him, it's still the same shitstorm of people coming in here rehashing the same shit for a week or two after each time he plays and all of us rolling our eyes at it. Wish it'd gone better of course, but then I'm pretty sure we share that with the man himself.
Hope we can get him into some offline tournaments again soon. Don't remember the last time I stayed up for an online match that went well (but I still do of course ><). Which is not an excuse, but there's such a thing as too much ladder methinks.

I stop watching SC2 for a moment, I come back watching some sotg and reading some reddit / TL and end up witnessing all this fuss on IdrA. I don't understand why SC2's community is so hard with its players. I guess kids can't understand the frustration IdrA might be in right now.
I agree that humility is really important, but explaining the importance of humility to someone, be it IdrA or anybody, is very different from straight up bullying.
