IdrA MMA Bomber
The other two members of the group will be people from the open bracket. MMA and Bomber are very good of course but IdrA is capable of playing beastly ZvT and he's beaten Bomber before. I think IdrA's placement in the group will depend heavily on the other two members of the group.
Idra also won MMA when he killed his own orbital... oh wait.

Don't be so sure, I thought the same before the showmatches with Taeja and Alive. Bunker rushes inc.

His group: MMA Bomber Compared to: MKP Stephano (assuming he would replace White-Ra) MC Polt PuMa (Can replace him with anyone) Tails Alive Nestea (If he would replace Nestea that might have been easier)
Uh, people need to start to realize that in the big tournaments every group is stacked. It's not unlucky, he could be in any of the groups shown and it would be pretty much equally difficult. Every group got top level players and IdrA just have to prove that he is able to beat them (which he can). So please stop saying he's unlucky when every group are stacked >_>

...bascially everyone there is pretty fucking good... like with Korea suddenly deciding to go to every event (as opposed to early last year say), you have like a double handful of Code S koreans everywhere (RoG, MLG winter arena each had its own complement tho they same time)

Damnit, MMA's got the best ZvT though. :o
|
Well, at least he avoided MC this time.
|
conpared to some of his tohe groups, its probably the best group hell have all season the open bracket people will probably be some mid tier foreigners so its not like an Oz or NesTea will plop in his group

MMA is the best Terran in the world, with his best MU, TvZ, vs Idra. I can't pick Idra to win that one. Vs Bomber I'd say it's 50/50, depends if Bomber decides he's gonna rape everyone or be mediocre again. Also any Protoss guarantees a loss for Idra, and ZvZ will be a coin flip.

How many will move on from every bracket?

Idra is a match for anyone in ZvZ(although it is coinflippy), and his ZvP has been looking GREAT compared to last year, I mean he almost took down Oz, who is like top 3 PvZ, isn't he?

Oz's PvZ doesn't stack up against the best in Korea. He does have the odd ability to best Curious though.

IdrA has a fantastic chance in this tournament. ZvT being his best matchup and he's been training in the slayers house with some of the best terrans in the world I see him getting out of his group going 4-2. IdrA has been looking good lately. Anyone saying "ohh he's bad" is so wrong. He hasn't been winning but he's been playing fantastic games versus players like lucky, nestea, oz. He is playing the best players in the world and playing damn good games. I think that sometime in the next three tournaments IdrA breaks out of his shell and kicks some serious ass!!!

Here's the problem though. Bomber and MMA are both very macro oriented Terrans. They take economic risks to become unstoppable in the mid and late games. Idra is not someone who punishes with roach-ling-baneling busts or early pools. It's definitely going to be a hard one for Idra to win. But living in the same house as MMA could setup some mind games though.

He seems to be doing that against triple CC builds on ladder sometimes, with great success if I recall correctly
Edit: Do note, that this was done on ladder. Players like Bomber and MMA are probably having waaayyy more refined builds, and little tweaks that makes them invulnerable to these kinds of things. Still, I hope Idra busts out one of these aggressive games, as they have been a pleasure to watch on his stream

How recent was this? I've watched every Idra game this year, and that did not happen >_>.
Are you referring to the ''I don't give a fuck, so I'll just roach all in and a-move without effort'' game in that teamleague?
In any case, Antiga is not a good map for that type of aggression either way, but some maps are, imo.

He went for a roach/bane all-in and Thorzain countered it by going fast siege. Also, as of late there has been some scenarios on his stream where he has done a 2-3 base sling/bling push against a terran, sometimes said push has mutas. If I recall the pushes usually occur around 145-160 supply.

Edit: To clarify, I don't thik it was the 3x Orbital, either.

dont forget it is SLAYERS_MMA so IdrA has probably gotten a good chunk of practice against his style
and hes beat Bomber before going to Korea
id say he has a strong chance at getting out of the group
