seriously whats with all the cheesing from zerg in the last couple week? i barely ever see Zerg all-in and it seems like they all-in at least 2/3 times now

Idra should have a nice long talk with DRG about how zerg cannot beat protoss...

He said ZvP was "tricky" due to 2-base timings, but that if he could figure out what his opponent was doing, he should be fine.

Zergs are cheesing toss a lot because toss is taking RIDICULOUS risks in the early game in order to get a massive economic advantage late game (FFE into 1 Gateway, making only a single zealot until like the 7 minute mark? No shit you are going to be cheesed...), and zergs are exploiting this metagame to get easier wins. Its extraordinarily difficult to beat a toss late game due to their armies being so much more cost effective compared to the zergs, and if they are on an equal economic backbone, zerg simply has zero chance of winning.

and seeing things like Naniwa going blind nexus first without scouting on Antiga and parting going one base blink stalker all-in on entombed it just makes me facepalm

Is Idra coming back to korea or staying in the states? I think he needs to stay in the SlayerS house if he really wants to keep getting better.. I hope he does

he probably wont head back to Korea until he has 2-3 weeks without any tournament coming up and im pretty sure hes busy for the next 2 months at least
think someone posted his schedule earlier in the htread
On February 26 2012 10:08 MountainGoat wrote: I was looking around and I think I've pieced together IdrA's upcoming schedule. Looks like he's gonna stay pretty busy over the next few months. Although I was pretty disappointed to see IdrA fall so quickly out of the Winter Arena I was actually impressed by his play against a top 3 Protoss and the most successful Zerg in the world. IdrA will be playing against elite competition from the start of all these tournaments so I don't expect domination but I do hope that he wins at least one and makes good showings in the others.
March 6th IEM World Championship Group: IdrA DongRaeGu SuperNoVa Kas ReaL Feast (Top 3 Advance)
March 23 MLG Columbus Will be seeded into the open upper bracket round 5 based on his top 32 standing in MLG Winter Arena.
April 6 IPL 4 Las Vegas Seeded directly into a 20-person group stage that follows the open bracket and leads into a 8 man bracket.
May 5 Iron Squid Paris 2012 Group: IdrA MC Symbol Thorzain MVP (Top 2 Advance)
Sidenote: As far as I've heard IdrA hasn't completely confirmed IPL4 but I don't see why he wouldn't go while having an invite straight into the group stage. he might head back for a bit between IEM and columbus and again between IPL and iron squid (is that LAN?) after that well have to see but hell probably head back if nothing big pops up

Iron Squid is somewhere in France. Paris, I think.

Only the playoffs. The group stage is online and I believe a lot/most of the games have been played.

my god those are some though groups. I hardly see IdrA advancing from any of them :/

From what I've read Iron Squid is a 20 man group stage online followed by an 8 man bracket that has the first matches broadcasted online followed by a final four bracket in ar Paris convention center. Not sure when the games will be/have been played for the online broadcasts... Casting from replays ruins the narrative unless its within a day or two.

There is a massive delay between when the games are played and the broadcast

That's pretty unfortunate. I thought people started to realize how much that pissed off the community.

User was banned for this post. Not qualified for what? Or is this just some dumb random trolling?

He posted something similar in the main MLG Arena thread right before coming over here to try to taunt IdrA's fans. It's pretty sad that someone would take such glee in something so pathetic.

if you ask me, going 60 drones with only 1 spine crawler, 10 zerglings, and no scouting is pretty cheesy.. i see idra do greedy builds all the time and he's just betting his opponents won't do any early aggression in the hopes of getting an overwhelming lead into the mid game
