![]() I wish you were at the same level that you were against White-ra in that game where you went big into air, and took both the bases in the middle, at that skill, I really think you were one of the best players in the world. It was sometime in January I believe.

Well I guess it was to be expected. Ultimately it seems that TLO barely ever can compete in a standard game, with TvT beeing a possible exeption. It's quite conclusive: TLO is a really clever player who is lacking mechanics and solid gameplay. It is just natural for that type to: 1) play tactics that favor taking initiative and challenging opponents with unexpected situations, which they cannot solve with their usual standard gameplay. In these situations it is much easier to keep up with mechanics, as the aggressor is the one who knows what to expect and what he is going to have to focus on right off the bat. 2) beeing better in TvT than in other matchups. Because TvT still is a matchup where it is possible to play much more cost efficient just by beeing smart than in other matchups, and this way equalizing weak mechanics (other than PvP and ZvZ which are much more mechanic based as they don't have the units which extraordinary cost efficiency potentials like Siege Tanks or the easily techable cloak banshee - obviously banelings are potentially cost efficient, but severely micro dependend) TLO is a player who has the potential of sticking to a "good" group of players for a long time, but won't reach the top with that level of mechanics and "normal" gameplay he currently has. By the way there are more players who really benefit of taking initiative: July and MC for example, who we all see beeing very aggressive very often, or, as a total opposite to that, taking initiative by abstrusely economic openings (taking initiative: they decide how the game goes. Either by forcing the enemy to defend or forcing him to attack). But these two have exeptional mechanics added to the mix and can compete in every kind of game situation. It also fits to the fact how he plays mech imo. Very tactical, slow. No marine-Tank, which requires a lot of mechanics and quick decisionmaking based on circumstances, really not the region TLO is strong with.

Especially with reinforcments.... And when you don´t apply pressure to the Zerg from early on its almost over. You have that one Push as Mech player,if it fails you´re dead. But i think he got no raven out ,that is a big issue if zerg knows when to engage. But he said it afterwards he made a lot of mistakes.

He is dealing severely worse with late game compared to other player, and compared to his win percentage with unorthodox tactics. Simply because he can't keep up without having the initiative. That's probably why he's going for that mech build, because it's a do-or-die-thing. As you said, one push. It's definitly easier to do with bad mechanics (ofc his mechanics aren't really bad, but worse than of that of almost all top players imo) than marine-tank-play. If TLO can ever overcome those weaknesses I mentioned, he would be an extreeemely strong player though imo. Him with the mechanics of an idra? That would be so sick! I really hope he can reach that type of skill some day ![]()

At least in his streaming from a few days ago. I think terran is the weakest race in the late(st) Game. And i think i´m not the only one with this opinion.

TLO just came back to playing terran after roughly 3 months of random. Contrary to popular belief in this thread, it takes quite a while to catch up to top tier players after a race switch. He has so much less experience playing his current race than every other top tier player. I'm sure after a month or 2 he will be doing amazingly for himself.

You mean the IMMvp who recently won the GSL World Championship? ^^ Well basically I have to agree with teekesselchen. TLO's lack of mechanics, compared to other top level progamers, are pretty obvious. But I think it's much easier to improve your mechanics than your creativity. So with the correct gaming environment TLO should be able to improve his mechanics rapidly. I think with Morrow and Sjow around him we can expect an overall better TLO in the not to distant future.
