ugh this isn't it... I'm not sure if it was 2ne1 or not, but I know it was big bang... and they were rapping live on stage and shit... damnit I'm an idiot, I used to have it saved on my phone, but I had to wipe it.
It could be the live collaboration they did with Lee Hyori... but it's hard to tell, if it's not Lollipop, it's probably something live exclusive since, at least from what I know, Big Bang has made no other song together with a girl group.
Hmm.... I know it was around the same time they did Oh Ah Oh( One of my favorites) but goddamn... Im not a Kpop afficianado or anything, just trying to show my friends some stuff and I completely can't remember this shit.... I know it was a live performance for sure

Miss $ isn't that mainstream(or rather, they dissapeared after a while, they released Miss Terious bout a year ago) and is pretty good, could have missed them while they were still active.

Just something that popped up in my head this afternoon and now I'm wondering about it so I may just ask in here.
When is it "normal" for entertainers in the korean music industry (I'm thinking mainly kpop idols) to do the military service? I would imagine that they are waiting it out as long as possible if their careers are going good, no? But what really happens after that? They would be in their 30's when they are out and after 2 years your value must have cooled off alot and with the huge talent pool South Korea is sitting on you would be easly replaced by other members and groups that are alot younger. And what happenes to groups when a member get drafted, do they continue without him/replace him or do they put everything on ice? Is there any members from relevant groups doing the military service right now and what are the rest of the group doing?
And last, is the military service as big of a career killer that I make it out to be? >.>
It is a catch-22 with the military enrollment in Korea. I think most idols would like to put it off for a long as possible because as you said, you never know what the situation will be like in 2 years. However, it is REALLY frown upon to delay it for too long. Especially for public figures, celebrities where image is everything. I think a lot of groups disband before they reach that stage. Some (like shinhwa) do get back together once they have all finished it. I think it is much easier for actors and solo artists as compare to groups.
Super Junior's Kangin has completed his service, Heechul is completing and Leeteuk is going soon. Super Junior is performing pretty normally. But I don't know, they have so many members.
