Mind you it would be nice if Suzy stopped acting so that Miss A could actually have a comeback I disagree with that. SNSD and 2ne1 are still far, far bigger than Sistar, even considering the success of Alone/Loving U.

I think what he meant, was that no one really released anything during the Alone/Loving U promotions. Also, despite being a huge Sistar fan, the Loving U EP felt like a rip off, it was like 2 songs and a handful of crappy remixes.

Also, despite being a huge Sistar fan, the Loving U EP felt like a rip off, it was like 2 songs and a handful of crappy remixes. That's most kpop EPs. Also the phrasing "holds #2" implies that they're currently the #2 girl group, which isn't true no matter when they were promoting. Winning when no one else is promoting doesn't matter, and saying that they're number 2 in a certain timeframe doesn't have any significance anyway.

You overreacted and that waked you up. Seriously, AS is good, but I just can't bring myself to like them with that graduation thingy going on. I always frown upon groups going through line-up changes, except Dal Shabet.

I don't understand the whole graduation thing, sounds like a cop-out to switch out members without the whole butthurt thing. Maybe that's what KKS should've done with T-ara, to avoid the whole scandel. Would've been like "Yo, hwayoung so good, graduated from t-ara in 2 years", and no one would've complained.

Wtf, someone explain to me why? They're top 5 out of pity, due to their complete failure in America. Ugh, I don't like AoA at all, from design to conception, it's been a pretty big mess~ I don't know if they can recover from such a lame debut. (but the girl on the keyboard is cute). Though I'm glad some companies are trying new things out, trying to find a niche in this industry.

The concept is based off of some Japanese idol groups where it's normal for members to graduate within a few years, so years later the name is the same but all the members are different. That was AS concept from the beginning and why although fans are sad there's no butthurt, because Pledis told you it was coming. also WG are not top 5 just out of pity, they're definitely still big. I guess it would make less sense if you weren't into kpop when they broke but there was a time during Tell Me through like Nobody years (07-08) up until they left for America where they were indisputably the biggest girl group around. They ofc fell off a bit since they went to America but they're still huge. On August 20 2012 17:18 wei2coolman wrote: I don't know if they can recover from such a lame debut. The problem is trying to answer such an open-ended question. It's certainly understandable that anyone watching Kpop this year would think that Sistar is a top 3 group because of their aggressive promotions and wins. But many will counter that they haven't been around long enough to be considered top tier or whatever. With only one show even doing rankings anymore, it's hard to develop much of a scoring system. Maybe you could take the weekly K-chart scores and introduce some sort of point decay to it. But Sistar would still be too high for some people. So it's really pointless to debate any further.
