On October 17 2011 AllkpopAfter BoA’s successful venture into Japan, the SM Entertainment CEO wanted to create a group that could be successful not only in Asia, but all over the world. Since he had a limited number of trainees, much deliberation and focus was needed to decide how to make this group happen. Lee Soo Man decided to choose the best members out of several trainee teams to create a new group that could be considered “major league”. This group was none other than TVXQ. As for Super Junior, Lee Soo Man revealed, “All the other groups were on the verge of being dissolved. However, since they signed contracts with us, we had to take responsibility. So out of these groups, the group that we raised to do well both in music and variety shows was Super Junior. They put in their sweat and tears to survive [in the industry], and we felt bad [watching them] so we tried to help them.” http://www.allkpop.com/2011/10/lee-soo-man-on-his-system-of-management-upcoming-groups-m1-m2-and-his-dreams LOL this needs to be brought up more. Wow I totally didnt know that, I totally had now idea that SuJu is basically a group consisting of leftovers from the TVXQ Audition. Thx to the guys linking some of the B2ST songs, I really like them DBSK is one of the most ambitious and costly creation of a kpop group ever. It's highly unlikely that something similar ever will happen again. Too have that many trainees without debuting them is just too costly and nowadays the competition over talent is way tougher and people are debuting younger than ever. Although we know nothing about M1 and M2 yet and SM may just do it again, since they have said one group is much larger than the other.
It would definitely be one of the big three and out of those probably SM, YG doesn't take many trainees at all (2ne1 were like the only ones between BB and before they debuted), and JYP like to borrow reject talent as well, no one else has that kind of pull yet. CCM could since they're part of a larger distribution company but based on how Co-Ed and T-ara were formed (rejects, models, and acting trainees) it's highly unlikely they would either.

Hyomin's definitely a stretch but since they'd be singing without a dance routine they'd probably sound alot better.

As long as the five members of TVXQ are active, I don't think that any boy group (or girl group for that matter) touches them in terms of dancing and singing, not to mention JYJ producing, writing, and composing almost their entire second album.
B2ST is definitely the most skilled boy group that debuted in the past three years IMO . . . I'd give them a slight edge over Shinee or Infinite.

No offense to DBSK though. They're not bad dancers I just don't think they're that great. Eunhyuk makes them looks bad and there are plenty of older idols that are just so much better than them like Jang Woo Hyuk.

Most people forget they debuted 8 years ago and when they debuted they had extremely popular groups teaching them about it all. I mean when you have the group that started the hallyu wave teaching you and you are a veteran group of 8 years you are just ridiculously good at nearly everything. Unforunately for most of the members of DBSK they were never really exceptional with dancing. But most groups aren't great dancers these days. They just learn choreo, dance that, and that's it.

I actually think Jay Park may still be the best dancer, I mean he breakdances and all that. Everyone else can follow choreo but they don't really dance well IMO
|
I think the discussion was currently about group dances(choreos) but I completly agree with you when it comes to "dancing", including freestlying and just general swag IMO nobody beats Taeyang&Jay Park

Jang Woo Hyuk has been dancing for 15 years in the industry (as part of H.O.T and jtL and now as a solo artist) and possibly more if you consider training. Jay has gotten soooo much better since he left 2PM though.

I'm not too clear on just how good the rest of them are, but Yunho is one of the better dancers I've seen in Kpop. I seem to remember Xiah being a pretty good dancer too, although he seems like he's trying too hard sometimes from what I've seen.
Overall, the group is impressive in overall dance ability. B2ST is probably the best group at dancing as far as each member being a good individual dancer in addition to executing dance choreography. Infinite always impresses me with their group choreography, but I don't think all of them are that great individually.

I think in the end we have to seperate choreo and dancing. DB5K would be the best with choreo. Infinite would be up there and depending on what era SHINee is up there too. Otherwise dancing ability alone I don't see a clear favorite. Maybe you could just say DB5K wins by default in that area cause overall they're the best dancing group that has it's members active (when you think about it) but they're not like super good like other older groups like SME have had.
I guess when Shinhwa comes back they'd end up taking the best dancing group title.

Agree that there needs to be a distinction between general dancing ability and executing choreography.
As for Shinhwa, I really only remember Minwoo and Junjin being great dancers, with the rest being just alright.

I just hope it's not true, that they're not all singles. I hope it's just for the marketing/image. I mean HSY is 23 years old, Nicole is 20... They live alone in their own places now too. Being single sucks and they shouldn't be just to uphold an image. Real fans like me have unconditional love yo, I don't care if Nicole has a boyfriend in fact I want her too, I want her to know the joys of sex cuz I want her to be happy ya know? Can you imagine all those gorgeous girls being virgins and singles for that stupid image, man that's so sad.
But than again, if it's not just an image thing and it's actually because of their super busy schedules than it's such an inspiration and big representation of the sacrifices they make.

Yeah I think it's probably more of a time commitment thing than they can't date, I mean they talk about dating secretly all the time. Publicly saying so is rare but I would be shocked if many of these idols haven't dated at some point or another.

wasnt there all this talk a while ago about idols needing to be available so that the fans are the ones recieving the love and not their ''significant others''? think that could influence it too.
Strangely WG is allowed to date now tho.
