Yes the main problem with this thread is Incontrol originally wrote his OP as a satire. Now the thread has become something else and we are stuck without any op at all.
Yeah I remember reading through the first few pages of this and being like wtf is going on. Then people started posting legit kpop and derail poor Incontrol's intentions, and the thread has become what it is today.

And by that I mean people who stumble in here see an OP that refers to notes about reposting "material" have no clue what is going on and then stumble out.
It could also help with the "hey guyz have you heard of this group T-ara? I first got into Kpop because of GEE but then I discovered T-ara and I love them too!"
Although we haven't had that recently which is good I guess.
Would also help with people coming in here asking for playlists etc. if we had an OP that offered some of those things but i guess its a moot point.
I don't see any other thread anywhere as competition, I'm all for reposting from one site to another so that more people can see the good stuff. I doubt trying to start up a rivalry would really help.
We don't really need one because kpop is an ever evolving culture and there are constantly new things coming out. I think the current OP and thread truly reflects kpop - there is not one thing to know about it, but a vast majority of facets to kpop that could not be contained within one post, but rather within a growing and changing thread.
Eventhough I agree with unichan here, I still feel that there should in one way be some sort of introduction. I don't know what the post should contain in detail but maybe a few links to popular sites, timetable for musicshows, fansites, rules obviously and MASSIVE AMOUNT OF GODTIER GIF/PIC.

WOW I knew Seohyun and yonghwa were a couple in WGM but I didn't know that Taeyeon was there, too. Are the episodes worth watching? I recognize that chubby comedian from one of the infinty challenge episodes with BigBang where he was hilarious. So, Worth watching guys?

Phew, I almost got ashamed there but I did "timetable for musicshows" :D Anyways, just make it like the Neogaf OP, maybe without the Top/SNSD part? The rest, even the variety show part is great.

Personally, I didn't like the Taeyeon WGM episodes much at all. The only entertaining parts were where they had other SNSD members show up and there was interaction between them. No chemistry between Taeyeon and Hyungdon (the chubby comedian), and it was just weird because of how different they were (young, energetic and cute vs. old, fat and obnoxious). Plus, Hyungdon's whole angle/niche is being an obnoxious and annoying guy, but he was basically neutered because he was "married" to Taeyeon and had to fear the SNSD fan community. I've never liked Hyungdon in general, but he was even worse when he couldn't even do his usual bit.

lol, I think even Taeyeon regretted her time on WGM, she kept saying how envious she was of Seohyun
ya, the first episode of seohyun and yonghwa together, she said "If you get a good looking guy, I'll have to go and ask the PD 'WHAT ABOUT ME?!" something like that.
