I agree because I thought the songs used in the movie was beautiful.
Yeah, Avatar 2 is gonna be hyped up just like Transformers 2, Spider-Man 3, etc. I am confident that it will deliver and be just as good as Avatar or better.

highest gross doesn't mean anything when you think about inflation! (i.e. inflation calculator says that titanic would gross ~500 million more in 2007 dollars)

Wasn't there something about how fewer people go to the movies now?
Just came back from the cinema, all i have to say is wow, fucking wow. I'd thought that i won't see better film after LOTR, but Avatar was just outstanding.

It actually means quite a lot because older movies didn't make nearly as much from home version sales for obvious reasons. Instead of going to DVD players, popular movies stayed in theaters and continued to be popular for years and often had periodic re-releases (like most of the classic Disney films, Star Wars, etc.). Now there are so many movies and so many studios that films are rotated out after just a few months, but a big blockbuster will make hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars off of rentals and sales of DVD/blu-ray versions. So, the fact that a modern movie can make its way relatively high on an all time inflation-adjusted list in its historically limited theater time means it's a much, much bigger cash cow than just those numbers show and in fact probably competes with the all time biggest films once all the numbers are tallied.

Hm, I wish I could find where I first heard that.
You can just download them, however its a bit lower quality but that would still make sense.
