I say you get off the computer and rush over to the nearest theater and buy a movie ticket for Avatar. Then you sit down in the middle, and enjoy those three hours.

One thing I really want to praise Avatar about is restraint in using camera noise. You know, like when in transformers and to an extent BSG and a few fan-made space battle productions, where the camera is flying all over the fucking place making it impossible to tell what's going on. Transformers probably did it to mask clipping issues (especially in transformers 2), but it's still EXTREMELY irritating. Avatar's action was very easy to follow. Also, the action direction was a lot better. In transformers 2 it's like HEY, SUDDENLY ROBOT- OH HEY SUDDENY MEGAN FOX - OH MORE ROBOT - BLURRED SHIT - MEGAN FOX AGAIN - ROBOTS AAARGH WHAT'S GOING ON. Avatar had none of this convoluted crap going on. Okay I hit tab and it posted early for some reason. /e Also, I think Horner could have done a LOT more with the score than just your typical cliche hollywood EPIC WITH EASTERN VOCALS AT DRAMATIC POINTS. I mean, come on. This is an original world with a totally perfect chance to make a unique score. But he blew it.

the film is still really stupid to me, but it may be a good mind changer for masses. regards to big power dominates weaker to get all, yay. shush didn know how to explane/pronounce, somehow love that movie now, have met so many stupid people now changed from, omg we must save shit before we destroy all, because they got depressed in the film when all those beautyfull colors and effects fade into dead earth because of war on resources. haha epic earth thinking changed by multimillion dollar win project, cameron is so baller :D

The world wasn't anything out of the ordinary for someone who's seen a lot of sci fi animation and such. I went into the movie with very low expectations as I usually do with Hollywood productions. The story was pretty predictable and cliche even though I have never seen Pocahontas. But I still consider it several steps above both Transformers. Definitely suggest everybody goes to see it in the theater IMAX 3D if you can! I have heard a number of movie snobs attacking the movie for various aspects, but to me it seems they are missing the point of watching a movie to enjoy it, which Avatar really allows you to do. In the end, it's not the perfect movie, but it is definitely amazing, and a benchmark of technology that needs to be seen in the big screen.
