As for bad groups subbing a whole season and making a batch (or not, thereof), I must confess I have no idea :p More often than not though we see people making batches for them anyway.

![]() I think there was a group called Shameless-Moon that did CANAAN. Lol those subs were so horrible. Another good group is SubsF***Where (SFW) who is doing Yokuwakaru Gendaimahou. Probably the best out there for the show. Lol they're also doing Queen's Blade, and despite my issues with the show, their subs for it are awesome as well.

You don't need to make a list; they already have one ![]() (but you should always avoid Chihiro and Darksoul, they're just plain bad) Oh, and SFW is also doing Spice and Wolf 2. I prefer their subs over Mazui, but they might be slightly slower.

I don't understand how you guys can make qualified judgements about quality of subgroups when none of you are native japanese speakers. Sure, some are obviously bad but what is the difference between a decent and a good group if you can't notice smaller translating errors? Actually I see no real point in having good and decent list for subs (as some things is just personal preference, things like karaoke, not translating obvious words, choosing difficult words over simple ones, having tl notes or not, translating background signs and support dialogue etc etc)... Just have a beware-list if it's really that important. Plus, most shows (except the most popular ones) only have one subgroup so there is no real point in trying to be picky. They're bad if as someone who only knows random phrases and words of Japanese, I can tell they fucked up. They're also bad if they regularly make grammatical errors in the language they translate into, and construct bad translations that are ambiguous or garbled to the point where I can't tell what they mean. They're decent if I don't notice any of the translation errors, and only occasionally err in grammar or sentence construction. They're good if everything is clear. That's how I look at them.

As for Shinsen, compare their Elfen Lied or Blood+ translation and work with FMA: Brotherhood (Dropped it after a glitchy first few releases), or Gintama (Dropped and with rather... I dunno.. American translations? I'm not exactly sure what to describe what they did with Gintama D ![]()

Anyone saw the thing about a Halo anime? Apparently Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4c and Toei will be involved. Typical Microsoft move of tossing out cash by the tonloads?

+ Show Spoiler [Endless Eight, Episode 6] + Kyon-kun, denwa! 15524. IT'S NOT OVER!! I guess Endless Eight is really going eight episodes. It's what I've been reading on various boards. So yeah...YHBT by Kadokawa.

+ Show Spoiler + How much would I give for the rumors about Haruhi actually being...what was it, more than 28 episodes, to be true. Maybe that's to account in for the inflated episode count, and everyone will live happily ever after. The fact that all these episodes don't seem to be denoted by numbers could potentially be encouraging, maybe it is one GIANT episode. Yes, I can hope.
