I think they have a torrent with everthing before new challenger, 76 episodes total, and it has like 12 seeds and 14 leechers, so yeah. Search for ippo complete.
You have to sign up to use it though. Because they track your upload and download ratio. If you download way more than you upload, they kick you out, haha.
Demonoid is where I usually go for my torrents. That's not true, and if you look in their FAQs, they say so.
The thing they use to track IPs is horribly inaccurate and outright doesn't work with certain routers or ISPs.
It's sort of like a post count on a forum...if you have a better ratio, people tend to be less dick towards you.

I have a person asking if he should watch S2 of Haruhi before he finishes S1. What do you guys think? (He's watching it in the airing order). I've already seen it so I'm assuming the end of S1 is the very end. Or should he watch the end of S1 at some point during S2. Obviously I will inform him of Endless Eight and be sure he only watches it once... maybe twice. But certainly not 4-5 times. lol
+ Show Spoiler + Oh, a revised list for this season of Haruhi. Melancholy I (S1) Melancholy II (S1) Melancholy III (S1) Melancholy IV (S1) Melancholy V (S1) Melancholy VI (S1) Boredom (S1) Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody (S2) Mysterique Sign (S1) Lone Island Syndrome I (S1) Lone Island Syndrome II (S1) Endless Eight I (S2) Endless Eight II (S2) Endless Eight III (S2) Endless Eight IV (S2) Endless Eight V (S2) Endless Eight VI (S2) ? Episode 00 (S1) Live Alive (S1) Day of Sagittarius (S1) Someday in the Rain (S1) Endless Eight VII (S2) Endless Eight VIII (S2) Endless Eight IX (S2) Endless Eight X (S2) Endless Eight XI (S2) Endless Eight XII (S2) ? Endless Eight XIII(S2) ? Endless Eight XIV (S2) Endless Eight XV (S2) ? Endless Eight XVI (S2)

I would recommend he watches the original broadcast order of season 1 before watching season 2.
Season two still has a ways to go, after all...and the broadcast order of season 1 was actually really cool and worked out well...watching it chronologically actually made it feel less natural, lol.

Lots of blood, not a lot of dismemberment from what I remember, but it was pretty good. Basically a love story about the head of rival ninja clans that are in a battle to the death. Some unique abilities (ninjitsu?), and fighting sequences. Generally gory, but I wouldn't really say it's darker than Elfen Lied. Unless of course you just mean darker/gory in general, and not darker/gorier than Elfen Lied. Edit: Which I'm pretty sure you did mean. Just still had Elfen Lied on the mind. Still can't think of many dark series off the top of my head though. Berserk was good (as mentioned above), but most people will have seen it by now, I reckon.

You're very very wrong beetlelisk. If I were you PH, I'd man up and go for School Days as soon as possible. There's no anime that rivals the amount of balls that show has, and especially Makoto. My theory is that people who dislike it are uncertain in their own sexuality. There's no better feeling than the throughout despair after such a heartbreaking story! Not that anime usually have the Hollywood-happy-ending disease, but there's something special with School Days.

Testie: Watch S1 first. S2 is pretty mucha flop starting from the fourth episode. First three were fine though.
On July 10 2009 19:12 So no fek wrote: Eh, it all makes sense to me. The situations are all very different.
Kouta flat out sealed everything off, but you have to consider that the events happened 7-10 years ago (not sure on the exact amount of time), so it's possible that it isn't a sealing that occurred right away, but he forgot the events over the course of his life (because he didn't want to remember something so terrible, so he told himself that there was an accident). I agree with what you're saying here, but remember that Kouta spent some time in a psychiatric ward following the incident so it's likely that he sealed off his memory during his stay there. I don't remember the exact length of time he was there, but it shows that he could not live without forgetting the incident. It's also important to note that he forgot everything about his childhood to a certain extent. I'm not exactly sure on how much was sealed off, but he forgot everything about Lucy/Nyuu. He definitely forgot everything that we see in the flashbacks though, since he doesn't remember playing with Yuka at the culture festival, but he remembers her name, so there's a limit to what he could seal off. The extent to which Kouta sealed off his memory shows the fragility of the human condition, which is important to understanding the Lucy/Nyuu situation.
On July 10 2009 19:12 So no fek wrote:The first appearance of Nyuu, as far as we could tell, was on the beach after Lucy escaped from the facility. Likely from the impact of the bullet/helmet, not triggered by seeing Kouta (as they found her on the beach as Nyuu). The instances where she reverts back to Lucy, she's well aware of the things she did. Been awhile since I've watched the series, but I don't believe they really went into why she was going in between Lucy/Nyuu. If you read the manga, you'll see that there are three sides to Lucy/Nyuu. In Freudian terms, the three sides represent the Id (not really seen in the anime, but I guess this flashes out when you see her kill all the children in the classroom.), Ego (Lucy), and Superego (Nyuu). In the beginning, she was able to maintain a balance between her personalities, but after her dog died, you saw the other parts of her personality emerge. (she's the girl with the bandaged face in her visions). Nyuu was always able to maintain a balance with Lucy, but upon getting hit in the head with the bullet, that probably repressed the Lucy side and caused amnesia. At that point, she returns to the pure, innocent being that is able to start anew. In essence, it's pretty much like she returns to being a baby (tabula rasa if you've read Locke or maybe just studied European History)... I don't think you need such a long winded explanation. But it's implied in the anime and manga that Nyuu -> Lucy when she's in danger or gets hit on the head, and Lucy -> Nyuu when she's treated with compassion (in some cases, this isn't always the case in the manga), wants to hide herself from Kouta (example would be on the Temple stone steps). But the point here is that she's unable to maintain a balance between her personalities. While Kouta sealed off a portion his life to maintain his sanity, Lucy/Nyuu split her personality up (akin to the situation in Madlax, but in one person).
On July 10 2009 19:12 So no fek wrote:With Mayu, the events were all recent. She ran away from home because her step father was doing the things he was. So, while it's something she could seal away with time, it's still all fresh in mind, and living on the streets, she has a reminder every day of her life. The problem that I see with Mayu is that despite being betrayed by both her parents (Similar to Lucy in that they're both orphans), she's able to live her life carefree. Her feelings of loneliness and sadness never overcome her like they do with Lucy. Even when she has Wanta taken away from her, she still remains sane and lives. Although you don't see this in the anime, the biggest inconsistency I see with her is that when + Show Spoiler [Spoiler from the Manga] +Bandou dies in her arms with his intestines trailing out , she still lives like it's nothing.
On July 10 2009 19:12 So no fek wrote:There's several other things to consider. I think, though I'm not positive, that Kouta may have been a bit younger than Mayu was when everything happened to him. That would make it a bit easier to forget things. + Show Spoiler +Also, the actual events that would cause memory lapse are completely different. I'd say that watching your little sister/father be torn apart by invisible arms, right in front of you, being splattered in their blood is quite a bit different than your step father molesting you. Sure, the second isn't any fun, and is quite a traumatic experience, but I personally don't think they're on the same level. And then there's just the different personalities to factor in. Kouta's a bit of a pussy, while Mayu just wanted to get away. She may have problems later on in life, but for now she's just happy to have survived the ordeal, and found some friends. I know that Mayu is age 12/13 when she's introduced, but I'm not sure on how old Lucy and Kouta were when they met. I do know that Lucy is 18 now though. As for your thing on the memory lapse, see the spoiler above. And I think that the common trait that bonds these characters is their attempt to escape from reality (even Yuka to an extent). Mayu isn't really escaping from reality, she's somehow coping with it. Breaks the trend :/

I wanted to see the full non-pansy-for-tv-edited-version of the ending...took me like two hours to track down a site that was streaming it...and it wasn't even all that different from the edited version.
The part where the other girl (can't remember her name) + Show Spoiler +cuts open Sekai's womb to check for the baby was completely fucking insane, though. I think that saved the entire show for me.

PH, Kotonoha Katsura. As for insanity, well, the game is translated if people don't object to adult content. There are a lot more in there.
It was fun to tell people to watch it without giving any reason.

On the subject of Haruhi:
+ Show Spoiler +I did like the Vajra joke in the new Endless Eight.
|
watching haruhi in the order is airing right now is fine since its chronologically ordered this time. Only thing you have to worry about is filler episodes.

My god, school days is messed up. It's like someone was making another harem anime and then just said "fuck it". The director is like telling us "kids, harem anime are stupid cause this is what would actually happen in real life".

I can't believe you guys are talking about my 2 least favourite anime...
+ Show Spoiler + School Days was as retarded as hell. No the anime studio has no balls: Endless Eight is balls; School Days was pure suckage. Everyone was horribly retarded... The whole plot could have been avoided if Makoto did the logical thing a dumped a girl he clearly had no feelings for and wasn't interested in. It could have also been avoided if Sekai didn't hook Makoto up with somebody and the cheat with him wth? It could also have been avoided if Kotonoha wasn't a clinging bitch and dumped Makoto right away and found somebody better.
Elfen Lied was just as worse as School Days. I hated Kouta just as much as Makoto. Other than the fact the entire series was just gore for the sake a gore, nudity for the sake of nudity with a plot that tries to hard to make it DEEP. Once again, the entire plot could have been avoided and thousands of lives saved if Kouta hadn't been a dumbass and handed Lucy to those 2 police officers at the beginning.

Regarding school days...
heard of 'harem' genre?
YOU WATCH ANIME TOO SRSLYYY
|
I think if you see school days as a parody of the harem genre, it can be pretty entertaining.
|
Dude, has anyone watched Toward the Terra. Engrish title aside, the anime is pretty epic.

It's kinda retardedly amazing how Makoto gets all the girls without doing anything.
After watching the series, you return to the first episode and wonder how the hell that happened :p

I really don't think the animation studio was going for a parody... They just animated one of the Bad Ends for the visual novel.
