Finished watching Tytania. I enjoyed the second half a lot more than the first, especially when the + Show Spoiler +Admiral eventually decided to actually fight back and ended up killing both Count Alses and Lord Zarlish. Yes, there were issues like how the honest old man was still working enough after that crazy bombardment that it can fire at the Duke's ship etc... The Admiral running from one place to the next and crying about some random girl he recently met was probably the silliest part of the show but I did like the overall atmosphere of Tytania being this invincible entity that can't be touched. The small political maneuvers or touches or whatever that were on display here and there. Would've liked it if there was another season or two. I want to see more scheming by Idris and I want to see Ariybata(sp) actually do something after that first battle that he failed. I think Lord Jouslain is my favourite from all the Dukes.

Hercules was a literal walking plot device. Thats what Berserkers are. They could have cool backstories, but thats literally it. Their characterization ends the second they get summoned as a Berserker.

I would take Hercules over Fran in a heartbeat. The berserker in UBW was pretty cool to see and that fight with Saber, dang.

ya, I never said otherwise but I'm familiar with both of their stories and Hercules was always a favourite growing up while I honestly just don't care much for Fran.

There are berserkers that can talk normally like kintoki, raikou, cu alter, kiyohime and more though.

New mecha original from Trigger & A-1. It was announced a while back along with the new Imaishi project and there's some new info.
Some info leaked out of Comiket and we know the show will be 2-cour long, air in Spring 2018, its animation production will begin this month, and the mechs will be 70% hand-drawn and 30% CG (the latter produced by Khara and not Sanzigen). Sejoon Kim said he's doing animation direction for an episode and that he'll start working on it in November.
