depends on what you watch I'd say. Your generic wish fulfilment harem show? Yeah, those tend to make a point about MCs being about as horrible as you can get so you, as a viewer, can look at him, loaded in girls and say "ha, not even I would be THIS dense" so you get the feeling that you as well can pick up girls like they're pokemon no matter how bad you are around girls!
Or at least that's my assumption for why MCs like Ichika etc seem to be really common in those shows. At the very least having an MC who's somewhat confident and socially adept seems like a bad idea for the audiance they're aiming at.

It's not only harem. The show I mentioned earlier, Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai Episode had a beta male MC. He's somewhat getting better as time goes on, but it irks me. The MCs that can't do anything and are always pretty useless in the show. Like, why are they even there? I guess I just dislike beta males in general, anime or not.

oh Zaregoto. That's NishioIshin being weird I guess. I only watched the 1st one because of all the hype and then decided I'll watch them all in one go when they're all out. Didn't feel like the first one made an awful lot of sense all by itself and haven't read the novels so that didn't help either

Yea the amount of ap they throw at you with 1/2 dailies is a grind-a-thon. It helps later though.

It feels like the 1/2 ap dailies doesn'T work. It uses 20 to do the quest

Yea all the daily quest ap costs atm are normally double.

Now, having said that, I really enjoyed their relationship growing with each minute. Him gathering up the courage to talk to her again, making a friend and trying to refix old relationships, even if they got undone yet again by the past. The scene with him planning to jump off the bridge and of course, the mom questioning him and trying to make sure he promises her he won't do anything rash was great.
It was a bit surprising that she still likes him after all the past bullying, but maybe she forgave him for it. The "I love you" scene that got understood as the moon was funny too, felt bad for her lol. Of course, the kicker was him almost dying, but saving her during her suicide attempt. A pretty emotional scene, especially the following hospital scene with her mom and the subsequent fight. Her having that dream at the end and him waking up and just ripping off all those medical equipment then somehow leaving the hospital to their usual place was the most bizzare part. I would've rather she got to the hospital and was by his side or something but I understand what's going on.

So basically, im kind of screwed because i didnt spam the "Exp" quest (to gain tons of lvl while stacking AP over the limit)

Depends on what you want to do. Do you just want to read the stories from the singularities? Then really doesn't matter, if you want to grind events and get all the goodies having lots of AP helps but its not going to kill you.
FGO is fine if you just want to read more Fate content, but if you want to get a bunch of 5 star servants it will be brutal hah. Then (if you don't want to spend any money) you should plan out how you will use the free quartz and tickets they give you to try to maximize your chances for whatever servant your after and since they will roughly follow how the JP server went you can guess approximately when servants will be added to the gacha and get rate up events to increase your roll chance.
You can also just reroll your acc a ton of times heh. I tried that but got bored and stuck with Waver (ugh) instead of Jeanne or Artoria.
