Still seemed weird when watching the ad. I also his designs in SEL, Tex and N7 (haven't watched HR yet but dl'd it recently). What are amazing time travel/loop anime? The last one looks interesting, thanks for the recommendation. Outside of anime I can only think of Back into the Future. The Elves books had some time travel mechanic which I liked but it was more accidental and not one of the main focusses or issues in all but one book. Do you mean the Dark Elf trilogy ? Can't find any book series with the name the elves aside from that and tolkien stuff. Speaking of movies, I completely forgot about groundhog day. It's a classic and it popularized the one-day style timeloop.

Relatively short read but perfectly avoids paradox. I've read that one, really good for it's length. The movie predestination is based off of it too. There's also "By his bootstraps" by Heinlein, fun novella with a causal loop only achievable by having the MC be the most clueless idiot in all of fiction.

kakegurui with hayamin as yumeko and all the fantastic faces was great. fate, step down from ufotable animation-wise but otherwise seems fine. it's 2 cours so that's nice. I can finally use my FGO knowledge to recognize the servants, yayayy as for last season Tsuki ga kirei(my fate in seiji kishi has been restored), Uchouten, and SukaSuka were the best.

![]() Knights and Magic : My main issue with these stories seems to be present ; MC appears to be more powerful than others just for the sake of being MC. Otherwise, we get only to see alittle bit from their universe. I'll hold my judgement until I can see more I decided to watch Ano Hana movie (saw the anime like 2 weeks ago). I enjoyed it. A sort of recap with a different narration and different POV. I was also reminded of how beautiful the ED is : the show amazes me with how they include the ED in certain scenes.

I wasn't completely serious but it checked off a lot of the same boxes that I had to think about Brave Witches, lol. The real differences are that they are using mecha instead of stupid leg mounts and real women instead of lolis. So pretty 80s. I agree with Spazer though that Gunbuster is a lot better (after 2 eps). It's not really good so far but not really bad, either. In contrast to Brave Witches which was straight up appalling. Show nested quote + On July 03 2017 02:30 Spazer wrote: The service in the show is still so strange to me. What's weird isn't that it exists, but rather how naturally it's presented. You mean how the girls are running around in "swim wear" suits as combat suits and their bathroom has a full window front so all the male mecha riders can fly along and watch them? xD To be fair though, I liked that they showed full bodies instead of the usual wannabe fanservice. Like, if you go for ecchi shit why would you take panty shots or chose the sequence so that the breasts are covered? In Gunbuster the girls just walk around naked with nipples and all that shit... That's indeed "naturally". I still feel like the presentation is pretty atypical. Heck, some of it doesn't even seem to be intended as erotica - a certain scene in the last episode comes to mind. Contrast it with something like Code Geass, where they deliberately have low angle cockpit shots so they can shove Kallen's ass in your face. That said, there is a lot of Gainaxing and shower scenes.

I think the biggest issue is not the CGI. Anime often exaggerate parts of the model, it may not even be the same ratio. The 3D character model just doesn't have the flexibility as a 2D character because the model is so fixate. Compared to the huge amount of freedom of 2D, 3D transition often feels more like a downgrade.
