why the hell.
also someone being able to do something to the seventh hokage is just absolutely disgusting from a writing point of view. Naruto should literally be god, and some random baddie appears to be stronger.
Kinda reminds me of beyblades. Season 1 they become world champions by beating people which should be impossible to beat, then season 2 first arc comes and a random guy shows up who just utterly rapes them all because plot.
Last paragraph is a problem faced by many shounen/superhero plots. After you beat the last impossible-to-beat-bad-guy, you'd need another more-impossible-to-beat-bad-guy or else the story will become utterly pointless.
Well its not like they had to kill the 7th in combat. He is still human so there are other methods, they are ninja remember.
The only thing that was decent was seeing all the new kid designs and to see who got married etc etc but even that was kinda meh as the designs weren't the greatest and the art wasn't on point. Though the art did stabilize a little a few chapters in the whole thing seems just unnecessary.

Left is drawn by the original author, right is from the boruto manga The exact same characters
And if you're wondering, that's not just cherrypicking the best vs the worst, the boruto example is literally just what it looks like, it's not some especially bad example
my god, that is terrible... What did they do to poor Hinata? It was always nice to see that Naruto x Hinata became canon XD How is the original author ok with them butchering his characters, seeing as Boruto is kind of a continuation of Naruto? If it was me, I would be outraged and would demand that they fix up the art asap.
The original author already butchered Naturo years ago, hell a decade ago. Sure he's happy he can rake in some revenue while someone else does the butchering now.

I don't actually think it's possible to kill Naruto like normal means after his last buff if you aren't Otsusuki or like him(or you're not sasuke) or whatever "NEW OP ENEMY" they would bring up.
Poison no longer works on him, i think he also has the Madara/Juubito invulnerability to ninjutsu and according to the latest databook he reached the peak of sensory ninjutsu higher than literally everybody in history . He can practically detect you from a continent away and that includes your intents he can't be caught off guard like ever
He gets caught off guard Kyubi autoheals him
I mean his normal speed in Sage of 6th path Kyuubi mode surpasses Gai using with the 8th gate. So it's also impossible to contest him in physical combat alone (he has fucking kage bunshins beating Kage level ninja in seconds)
Tbh all i wanted to see from Boruto is the adventures and world building of the modern era ninja. I also found the introduction of more and more powerful opponents pointless(which is why i hated the War Arc naruto so much) but i'm still watching it for some reason lol
im just gonna say I kinda love naruto overall and I loved pretty much everything about shippuuden aswell. Not the fillers ofc, i never even watched any of them. I skipped them all, but the canon parts were great for me, and I honestly do not understand why so many people have a problem with the way shippuuden went. I like it.
as for boruto - I honestly would watch the show if it was pretty much entirely about the new generation and how they face their problems. A hokage is a busy person, he doesn't have to and can't be involved in all matters, especially the smaller missions and stuff. he has a country to lead. Not like tsunade & kage-co ever went out of their way to help naruto when he was a kid, or any other kid for that matter.
I fully agree that building the world from a new generation would've been great, and bringing in an enemy who is stronger than the people we know so far, is totally retarded and should not be included whatsoever. I think it's an insult to the legacy of the original naruto series.
I have a problem with the way it went because the writing became awful and asspully. The story and characters went to shit and i only finished reading it so i could be done with it for good.
Also i'm enjoying what i've seen of SAC so far, also loving the ED.
Well tbh that is kinda what they are doing it seems like. The manga repeatedly has him say "This is MY story" and with the 1st scene of the anime and manga it seems like its def going to be next gen doing stuff. At least Hinata looked better in the anime but meh I read the manga chapters and I am just not into it. Probably still a hangover from the last years of how Naruto went, I am just done with it.
remember when we had that news abut Steam selling anime and I got the impression that you guys are hating on it? Now this: www.animenewsnetwork.com is the kind of stuff that annoys me instead.
I like them getting into the business in principal but when I read "All of the above titles except Granblue Fantasy the Animation and Eromanga Sensei are exclusive to Anime Strike in the United States." that just sounds horrible to me + Show Spoiler [list of the titles] +
Granblue Fantasy the Animation: April 1 Sagrada Reset: April 5 Armed Girl's Machiavellism: April 5 Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Flat: April 5 Kabukibu!: April 7 Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul: April 7 Re:CREATORS: April 7 Eromanga Sensei: April 8 Grimoire of Zero: April 10 Anonymous Noise: April 11 Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria: April 14 Atom The Beginning: April 15
first of all that's not like it's some minor titles. Those are some of the bigger titles of the season and splitting it up between multiple streaming services just sucks for the viewer... You NEED amazon prime in the first place, you pay 5$ / month for that and on top of that you probably need another subscription elsewhere because exlusives are a thing and not just a minor one looking at the list up there.
I can see people getting really annoyed at that more than anything else. Understandably so. And while I understand why they would want exclusive titles to promote their own service and get people to use it I don't think they're doing themselves any favors

Yeah, I agree, they should be forced to buy the rights to stream in every backwards corner of the world in addition to the US!

idk about any threads from reddit but an episode 0 was announced for the 6th of april (tomorrow) iirc? The way I remember it being a new episode 0 for s2 but I'll check twitter real quick to see if I can find something
///edit, just as I refresh browser I see this on ANN
The anime will premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block on April 13. The anime will stream on Amazon Prime in Japan and exclusively on Amazon's Anime Strike channel in the United States. Episode 0 premiered on April 5.
so that does sound like what I said (except for mixing up april 5th and 6th o/)... but I'll still look for announcement video real quick
///2nd edit: yeah I can't find anything specific about what it's about but the title is different from the one from season 1. Season1 episode0: 愛と青春のサービス回 [something like "Love & Youth service episode!", Season2 episode0: 恋と純情のサービス回 [something like "Love & Innocence service episode!" as seen for example here:
I know I've watched this:
a couple days ago and I'm super certain they talked about it as well but I can't be bothered to go through 40 minutes of video for that just now when I get the impression that it's fairly obvious that it's not a rerun of the s1 ep0. Not to mention that the picture in the tweet straight up calls it "2nd season's episode 0". If that's a rerun I'll eat a hat or at the very least will call it very misleading

i have to say naruto actually had decent story all the way up until the early of Book2 (or Arc2 whatever they call), it was so good, and then yup, all to the drain.

Tohru's background was nice! Wonder if we'll see a big fight next time? Excited! :D
Felt the end part of it was a bit rushed though, but it was nice they added about a week of Kobayashi trying to care for Kanna by herself without Tooru.
As for the inevitable comparison between anime and manga. I felt that Kyoani did a really good job adding things for the main family (Kobayashi/Kanna/Tooru) at the cost of screwing over the supporting cast. Saikawa, Lucoa and Elma + Show Spoiler [manga] +
and Iruru lol
got pretty shafted and reduced to running gags. First two didn't have too much presence in the manga aside from their gags though, but would've been nice to see them do more than just Saikawa having an orgasm every time Kanna touched her, or Lucoa's boobs suffocating Shouta. Elma's training at the company got entirely cut which was sad cause it just showed how awesome Kobayashi was at work. + Show Spoiler [manga] +
Kobayashi was essentially doing her job + Elma's job while she was still learning how to use a keyboard/making tea lol.
Only good addition to her was like a 3 second scene of her in a coffee shop learning code. On the bright side, Fafnir + Takiya bromance got a lot more development than the manga which was nice.
For the last episode specifically, I felt the scene where Tooru's dad was about to attack Kobayashi to be stopped by Tooru was done way better in the manga. In the anime, he's about to launch some spell and Tooru just puts a defensive spell out and in like a split second, which then leads to their battle =\, compared to the manga where he was (in the hallway with them, not floating in the air) and about to physically attack Kobayashi with his hand before Tooru grabs it and gives him this defiant look. Then he admits he was intimidating by her and leaves. Like wtf? Maybe it's because I can read the manga at my own pace, but that was way more impactful than some pre-magic spell bs.
Overall loved the series as a whole. All the slice of life and family parts were just so comforting to watch. Super cute moments while still inserting some thoughts on society as well, backed with Kyoani animation! AOTY! :D
seeing this was nice too!
