as far as I know for YYH + Show Spoiler +Murako was the most powerful person at the tournament but since she lost a lot of the pent up hatred she had she really didn't try in her last fight. Raizen was a real monster, Enki wasn't kidding that Yomi and Murako would be shitting their pants if he hadn't nerfed himself.
Sensui's sacred energy was ok, considering he still wasn't that strong in the greater context of things so his sacred energy powering him up to (low level) S class wasn't too bad.

Haibane Renmei: started watching it, 3 episodes in. Pretty nice mystery anime, guess somewhat slice of life atm with the information and such. I'm excited to get more information about their world and this whole wall bit. Characters seem ok so far, Rei is the coolest! Best girl!

Sensui's sacred energy was ok, considering he still wasn't that strong in the greater context of things so his sacred energy powering him up to (low level) S class wasn't too bad. + Show Spoiler +I dunno tbh. Yes, Murako was really strong, stronger than Yomi for sure and as you mentioned, likely weaker than Raizan who sounded like a beast. Probably Raizan > Murako > Yomi.
Having said all that, I don't really know about Murako being the most powerful tbh. I don't think it was mentioned anywhere aside from a quick "she has a gentle look, she'll never fight at full power again" so yes, she's strong. I think Enki would've been a worthy competitor, even at her max considering the whole Raizen bit and him being his partner.
Yes, maybe not but like Sent said, it came out of nowhere. Like, Toguro was hard enough to beat and he was B class and got hyped up to hell and back. The whole dark tournament and even the previous arc before it was hyping up Toguro as a beast who can't be compared to anyone. Then all of a sudden, Sensui comes in as a low S class tier human who makes Toguro looks shitty as hell and beats the crap out of everyone.
Not a single mention of him anywhere. Like, how hard would it have been for Togashi to actually have Konema mention a single line back in the first couple of arcs about there being other spirit detectives, one being really powerful but missing for years now and leave it at that. Could've even had Yusuke ask the question so it's not a forced answer and then when you bring him up lately, you've already said he was extremely strong years back, he's even stronger now etc...

Every match felt really important and they gave time for each match as well (would've been fine with 1 episode each, 2 max for fights about toguro, big bosses etc...). The last arc would've been great had they not decided to have everything off screen after the Yusuke fight. Honestly, when they showed the contestants that were Raizan's fighting partners and then showed their spectral powers, I figured that they'll play an important role, especially Enki who seemed to be drawing the most power out as shown by the close-up.
In other words, the result isn't that surprising but I would've loved to see Enki and another of the partners actually fight in the later stages. Also, they never said what happened with Kurama. We know he lost but to who and how? Biggest disappointment for the last arc is that there was so much potential being that the demon realm is vast, much is unknown and we got these new 8+ partners of Raizan who seem to be crazy powerful, enough to make Yomi second guess himself beating anyone and drawing the attention of Mukuro too. They could've explored their past and relation to Raizan etc...
In a way, I am glad that Yusuke lost. As powerful as he got, had he actually won the tournament or even beat Yomi or Mukuro, I think it would've been bogus. Already going toe to toe with Yomi and almost beating him is plenty imo considering their experience, age, power level etc... Then there was all that yellow energy that Yusuke released when he started to think who he was fighting for. They discussed Shinobi's energy but stated it wasn't that so what was it? I was also hoping for a Yusuke vs Kurama or Hiei fight but I guess the writer didn't want them to clash.
Ending otherwise was good. Another episode just exploring everyone's life afterwards to show how they adapted back etc... would've been nice but as you guys mentioned, I think the author kinda gave up. This last tournament which was fun to watch definitely suffered from not having enough episodes dedicated to it. Ironically, I think I liked Toguro as a villain quite a bit. He had that air of being unstoppable and hard to overcome then they decide that he's only B class rofl. That felt like it came from left field but it's the usual for action anime.
Other than that, I did kind of miss the earlier arcs when Yusuke was still slowly leveling up. At the time, any improvements felt profound but now they just practice offscreen and go super saiyan-ish like Shinobu for ex. Anyways, definitely recommend. The sound track is fantastic. Much like other action anime, it really gets you excited and you know something is up. 9/10 for the last arc
+ Show Spoiler +As I said earlier, the last arc is pretty rushed because, apparently, Togashi grew sick of his own manga and wanted to finish it quickly. I agree I would have liked a more in-depth exploration of the demon realm. Cutting the tournament short didn't bother me too much - I already had enough of tournaments. :D I liked that the fights were shorter. In the Dark Tournament Arc, only Kurama's fights were consistently interesting. Genkai rocked hard and Hiei had some badass stuff as well. The fight's of both Yusuke and Kuwabara were incedibly boring for me though...
Powerlevel rises in these shounen shows are always ridiculous and make no sense.

Much like other action anime, it really gets you excited and you know something is up. 9/10 for the last arc You finished, so time to rant about the last arc: + Show Spoiler +The last arc of YYH is about one of the most disappointing finishers in Shounen Anime. It comes off the tail of Sensui and the S-Class DBZ crap, but at least afterwards the plot seems to be going in another direction. You had three competing factions, Yusuke was going to be against Hiei and Kurama! Things were setting things up for a cool 3-way war arc! Just think of all the possibilities, all these cool demons fighting each other, Yusuke and Hiei finally having a throw down. It even finally elaborated on Kurama and Hiei's backstory, the latter of which was done very well. Everything keeps building up, and it looks like Yusuke is about to kick it off... Annnnnnnd then hes like "hey, remember the Dark Tournament? That was cool, right? Lets just do that again, instead of what we were about to. Except no tension this time!"
God damnit, Togashi. The subsequent tournament was incredibly rushed, you didn't even give a shit about the vast majority of characters (not to mention they all looked weaker than Togoro even though they were infintitely stronger), and it never even gave you the fights you actually wanted. And then its over almost as fast as it begun. But you know, at least the characters we did care about got fights (even though they weren't ideal).
But you want to know the worst part about this arc? Considering how fast it went in the anime, you'd think the anime sped through all the content in the manga, and the manga's version of it would be a full, fleshed out version, right? NOPE. The manga version is even worse! We never saw Kurama fight, we never saw Hiei fight. Virtually all the fights we did get were single panel scenes of fights, and they were like scribbled down or some shit. Yusuke's fight starts with him powering up and hitting Yomi...... And then the whole tournament arc ends, fast-forward to the future with Kurama telling Kuwabara about the results, and off-handedly mentioning people lost. And then you get a whole god damn volume of Yusuke being a ramen salesmen who does demon-spirit-related odd jobs, including Keiko asking Yusuke to investigate some jokes in her girls dorm (involving Yusuke crossdressing). Yeah, he came back early and just started interacting with Keiko like nothing happened, no big reunion heart-felt scene or anything like that.
As far as Enki and Mukuro and power levels go, I don't remember if the anime touched on it, but if Mukuro's mindset was full of hate and what-not, she was easily the strongest fighter in the tournament, and Yomi would be #1. When Raizen was in his prime, he was probably a little stronger than Mukuro, but they were said to be rivals when Raizen was in his prime.
All things considered, these complains are limited to like the last.... 10? episodes of the anime, or 2 volumes of manga. Overall YYH was great, but that last arc makes Bleach's finale look good.

Woo oregairu volume 12 releasing on April 18 ;_;. It has been too long.
Chaos child 7 + Show Spoiler +wtfwtfwtfwtfwtf that is just the most fucking terrible way to die. Poor Yui. ![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/E3rIfK7.jpg) . Nono is best so you should support her takuru. If we assume that we have already been shown who the killer is, it's probably the other guy in the photo that nono showed to everyone. Though I don't know who could show delusions to people and brainwash them.

Akira
10/10, potentially masterpiece/10, but thought is always required before adding something to that category, and I just finished watching.
I haven't watched something as good as Akira in a long time. Not just anime, but I haven't seen a movie that good in years either.

Reminds me I should finish the manga someday. I'm still stuck somewhere in volume 4 I think. It's such a tedious read though because the panels are all over the place. It's hard to follow what exactly is happening. I think the general tone, setting and story has been pretty good so far but if it was a novel instead of a manga I would have finished it within a few days... I'm probably going to end up watching the movie before I have finished the manga.

I didn't even realize Akira was based on a manga until the credits told me, though I don't really read manga anyways. Does the movie cover the entire manga though? Seemed like it was complete story so I figure it did, but...

I think the movie skips at least volume 3 and 4 out of 6. That's what I read at least.

During ep7 I wasn't sure Kuzu no Honkai was moving into a direction I would like but the cliffhanger in the end upped my hopes. Should be interesting.

Jigoku Shoujo S4 seems to be happening for summer. Hope it'll be good.

What are some of the best "stuck in a video game or other world" manga out there?
I've read The Gamer until recently. The MC started being too boring because of how OP he became

of course not. I like joking about those things because people are always really on edge about that but I only go for the most womanly waifus out there. Even Sent figured that out some time ago

damn how come digimon tri is actually that bad :S I thought the episode/movie before was quite the improvement over the previous mediocre ones, but we are straight back to shitty Toei animation with nonsensical fanfiction plot -_-
