If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. Action comedies are really rare (or rather, it's rare where even the high-animation action scenes themselves are jokes) so maybe another example of that doesn't exist. Although for FLCL I think there are a few examples ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
Wait what? Action comedies are not rare. They are freaking everywhere. Or are you not talking about stuff like Kill la Kill, TTGL, Redline, Space Dandy etc.?

I dunno if I would classify TTGL and Redline as "action comedy"
|
Not for the second half but I'd say the first half of ttgl counts as an action comedy with scenes like this one and many others.

If thats all it takes to be a comedy, then the vast majority of anime out there could be considered a comedy of some sort.

There is a depressing lack of Student Rep-chan on Masamune. Only heightened by those brief moments when she's in a scene.

Kimi no Na Wa's finally been uploaded in good quality, should I watch it now or wait until it comes to theaters here in April?

Actually, I think I'm going to hold off until I can experience it in its glory in theaters

I watched the low quality. And it was still amazing. I'm going to see it in theaters in April. It's a really wonderful movie. *not sure if it's better than a lot of the Miyazaki movies though, especially Mononoke Hime (my second favorite movie after Ninja Scroll))

That's why I was confused. Please define action comedy for me. It doesn't seem to be "action that serves the purpose of (also) being comedy". Because if it was it wouldn't be rare.

kissanime has a 720p version of it. I clicked through it a bit and it is 720p as far as I can see but it's not full frame. Someone on MAL told me the BD's aren't coming out until october this year, lol.

That's for the official english release iirc, the japanese one should come a little bit sooner.

It's not exactly good quality but watchable on small monitors. Don't try watching it on a large tv or something though. Need to rewatch it when blu-ray with fansubs though, the visuals deserve it.

More people need to watch it so I can bitch about its mediocrity some more.

I'm still watching Classicaloid as the last bit of the fall 2016 I did with a friend (we are/were watching those shows together)... This turned out to be a real challenges. Still 7 episodes left and it feels like hell. This is so damn bad...
