On the monogatari talk: I feel like Nezgar is taking it a bit too far. There's no doubt in my mind that a lot of things are shown how people perceive it. As such I don't think the livingroom, the bathroom or tsukihi's & Karen's room in the Araragi household actually look like that. I also don't think Kanbaru's room is a literal cave of BL books (duh) while comming to the conclusion that given Hanekawa's character, the portrayal of the Hanekawa household at the very beginning of Neko shiro is probably faithful. So I'd personally argue that some of it is exaggerated to show us how someone percieves something. I already said that I believe the quarrel scene between Karen and Koyomi to be one of those. But I don't think that Mayoi getting run over by a truck, next into Bakemonogatari, then Kabuki + Onimonogatari, especially the ending with Ougi claiming that she's behind the Darkness and the follow up on that in the 3rd vol of Owarimonogatari + Show Spoiler + mayoi hell as well as Ougi's claims since ending of Onimonogatari and everything after that But that's just my take on it.

What's up with all the cancer female voices in here? First of, the OP starts pretty badass until Miss Autotune starts to add her shit. Then the show itself adds Rem&Ram goofballs with silly, high-pitched voices into a inspection department, wtf? Glad the blue haired woman (General Mauve I think) saved it with 2 short appearances. She definitely looks intriguing. The rest of the episode was decent for episode 1. Little bit of exposition to explain the setting. Quite a fast pace on the initial drama to set-up the further setting for the story. All in all I think this has potential. It majorly depends on how they'll will develop the story from here on and how much time they will invest in showing goofball characters vs interesting ones.

Spiritepact is bad. Skip. Hand Shakers is the last new one I'll pick up. Nanbaka and Gintama will hold me over until S3 BSG

Most of it was quite good, we'll see. Overall the animation wasn't strong though, with some exceptions in fights.

There were 2-3 minutes left in the first episode, but enough was enough and I dropped it. That's how bad I feel it was. The opponent's power was having his sex-slave(girl) orgasm while chains appear. That's how ridiculous it was.

Girlish number was really funny for me. i liked it a lot Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki and Komori-san wa Kotowarenai! were both suuuper cute shorts. komori had some subpar animation but i didnt mind. Im almost finished with Drifters...it's not exactly good but after cute/funny shows the action/violence of it was needed. it does speak to the chuuni in me a bit

Anyways my thoughts so far: + Show Spoiler + Overall a really good read. I'm not really the kind of guy that emphasizes on the positives too much so keep in mind that what I write in here is overshadowed by how much I enjoyed reading it as a whole. So my biggest issue with it probably is that the 4 demi are all girls. It sometimes felt like it's selling itself as too cheap for me. Like they're going for this cute girls doing cute things (god knows I have no issues with that) and perhaps even made them girls because that gets the "aw, I want to hug and protect them" reaction more so than from male characters going through the same. But changing one of them from girl to boy or just adding one more and making him a boy, giving us a grounded friendship between all those without going into romance is something I felt would have been really good since to me this felt like more than just a "cute girls doing cute things" series. I get that a Succubus and a Snow Woman (probably?) have to be female by default so no changing that. Vamp is still the heart of the series for me so I wouldn't dare changing her even in the slightest. So that leaves us with only the Dullahan for a change which I'd be up for. But even then Dullahan being the one that's a bit more "creepy" feels nice in the hands of a girl (hehehe) for that reason. That seems like something a girl would have more problems with than a boy. Sure you could equally make the character a boy that feels insecure and do the same but it feels right with Macchi. So tl;dr: ... I guess I would have wanted one more character? Also Vamp still best. Don't think that'll change for me unrelated: I browse the web, stumble upon this: I Reincarnated Into a Vending Machine He, who was an authentic Vending Machine maniac, died from a traffic accident while protecting a vending machine. He, who had expected that his life was finished, woke up in a lake shore surrounded by abundant nature. He didn’t understand what had happened to himself. He only knew that he had become a vending machine. Alone in the labyrinth of another world… As he wanders alone, he meets a lone girl who causes the story to change Type Web Novel japan... please

Sounds sketch. One of the asian malls in my area had that for a bit, but it was essentially anime with subs burned into DVDs and resold. They got shut down pretty quickly. But for only $10, it's worth trying. DVDs might also have region locks on them, which Canada/US is different code from Asia, unlike BDs which at least share a region lock with Canada/US/Japan.

I guess the series could have had a token male demi but jp authors cater to their audience, etc. Isekai knows no bounds. And here I thought reincarnated into a slime was going to be bad. (j/k, it was actually pretty decent, esp from world building perspective)
