UBW was enjoyable. Kekkai Sensen was good as well.

As for Saber, she is a supporting character basically in UBW and you know that she has her own route in FSN + her in F/Z so making that statement when you know all this seemed weird to me.
Well yeah. I don't really know how she is in other routes. I was aware of the fact that she has her own route in FS/N. I wasn't aware of the fact that she is a main character in F/Z. My statement was based on what I know not on what I might be able to assume. Being a side characters doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be rather blank imho. And only because you have a blank side character in one story and the same character as a main in another story doesn't necessarily mean he isn't blank in the latter one. But yeah, I probably shouldn't make statements like that before I know everything.
SAO is by no means bad, anyone who calls SAO bad or trash has no idea about the bigger context of what the industry produces.
Funnily enough, this is an extremely narrowminded view. It entirely depends on one's standards. If your "standard" for average is the true average quality of all anime produced, then I supposed SAO might be rated higher. But what if most of all anime produced is bad? That isn't even an elitish mindset imo. But anyway, if most anime that is produced is bad, and you have a higher standard than the true "average" for anime, you could easily call SAO bad.
I am not quite sure if what you are saying fits your initial statement or necessarily contradicts what I said. Placing SAO among the massive amounts of anime that have been produced it certainly doesn't place in the low/bad end of that spectrum is my opinion. Standards of a person has nothing to do with it imo because everyone has their exceptions and a very fluid approach to what they like or dislike. Even if as you say a person has a higher standard then the true "average" for anime and therefore they think a show like SAO is bad doesn't change my point about thinking about a shows place within a broader context. Not everyone thinks this way I will agree with that but I would still argue that people tend to think about how they rate a show at a smaller level and mostly what their personal experience was towards that show. If your starting point is that the majority of anime are bad and very few of them are good fair enough but that still wouldn't change SAO's place relative to other anime no matter where you set your bar.
Soma was fucking awesome this week. Holy shit wasn't expecting anything like that ending to happen....im so pumped for the next episode!
You're all sound like such anime hipsters, it's pretty hilarious to me. I like lots of stuff and i really don't care that others don't. I liked SAO a lot...mainly from the world setting...but even the characters that everybody hates (kirito/asuna) were enjoyable for me. I don't care about plot armor i guess...ppl being OP just b/c they're supposed to be is not something that bothers me. Also, SAO never felt like a harem to me until after they all (including asuna) got out of the game and it showed things like the party at the end and some select scene with them at that school. I donno...to me it was always obvious kiritoXasuna and the rest of the side characters were friends of both of them and part of their circle of friends.
I also really like danmachi. I like the world and i like bell. i also love the idea of all the different gods/goddesses being characters (i have a thing for old myths/legends and ancient gods). I find hestia to be funny and adorable.
Then again...I like almost everything. I can't explain my tastes...i'll just say that if it's anime there's a good chance i'll like it.

Most people tend to rate things on a smaller level, but the anime most people watch come through some invisible quality filters. Things like "Is it subbed?", "Have I ever even heard of it?", "Has anyone ever praised it to me before?" While they are not completely full-proof, there are a shit load of shows on the true lower end, that no one has watched because of things like that. And if one was to actually watch them, they would truly explore the depths of badness. And compared to those shows, SAO is "better", and may appear "good". But does that actually make SAO good? In the end, it just depends on how you judge stuff. If you have low standards, then you might call it good, if you have higher standards, you might call it bad.
SAO part 1 was enjoyable, SAO part 2 was meh(the whole Leafa/elf thing), I thought Asuna was actually quite decent but then she like others pointed out just got terrible.
I did enjoy a part of SAO season 2, mostly because of Sinon cause dat voice and dat design. Then they turned to some random shit that revolved around Asuna and I dropped it again then(well plus the whole rapist thing was lulz).
I mentioned earlier I didn't get the appeal of harem shows, but I'm really into shoujo ai and yuri so I guess to each their own. I'm watching Sakura Trick and all I can say is that it really pleases me ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I want more action shows where the MC is a girl and her adventure is picking up girls to make a Yuri harem while she gets new powers. Like if Kojou from strike the blood or issei from dxd were girls instead of a guy.
Also, I have a feeling I don't want to read anything in the danmachi and sao convo so I'll be ignoring it.
Also, fate can't be best T-M work cause its name is not mahoyo.
Sakura Trick seemed like the amount of money the script writers would receive was directly proportional to the amount of young girl make out scenes they could stuff in. The art style and designs were good and it started off cute but it got real old real fast and ended up feeling like a shameless exploitation of the fact that lesbians exist and that a lot of guys think that is hot.

The bolded doesn't make any sense to me. How does disliking SAO make people hipsters? Oh noooo, people dislike something you like, that must mean they're hipsters! What kind of logic even is that?
I have never liked or disliked an anime based on something as idiotic as popularity/mainstream appeal.
did u guyz all watch my visual novel i just watched it again its pretty sick
obv im not following but theres NO WAY you can have a "mainstream" section unless you are permitting duplicates. i guess permitting duplicates in that list alone (and no other lists) is acceptable however. and makes more sense than not permitting duplicates
also personally i wud look into keeping everything on the same single webpage rather than having to click and load every list in a new page (and end up with 10 tabs open). you could use jquery or whatever to just have everything pop up on the same page. just a thougth something like this might even work https://jqueryui.com/tabs/ (and is SICK easy to implement)
you need a magical girl/idol section obv. maybe idol could come under music . is kon sol or music then? maybe duplicates are allowed. i guess they are allowed after all, get fucked past-self
