It's hard to make a point when you constantly contradict yourself. About Usopp: When I first got into One Piece I really didn't like him lol. But as time went on his character design just grew on me as it exaggerated all of his comedic aspects and it ended up suiting him really well. But yes, the #1 reason for people not getting into One Piece is its art, which is a shame. But really, not all of the character designs are weird. There be some hott characters, both male and female. =) | ||

I'll always hate that nose and lips though. I have always really hated it in any anime when they draw lips like that. I vow to pick it up if I ever get terminally ill, since if it's as good as people say it is then I'll have a really great story to take my mind off my inevitable death. | ||

Franky is just a baller though, if you don't like Franky's design, it means you don't like roboots, which means you hate men's romance. As an aside, according to Eiichiro Oda, if Usopp was born in our world, he'd be African. And I suppose Usopp's design is just Oda's comical way of portraying that. | ||

check out this sick picture that shows how different artists choose to draw the same character ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/KHFgncU.jpg) its a pretty extraordinary, beautiful and valuable thing , imo , once you understand how an artist can develop styles to express something in a unique, personal way there is also something grand and gorgeous about the ugly that guy from one piece is characterised by being ugly but resilient you got a similar style in Kaiji (you must have seen that right, its like top 5 anime of all time) where the mc is characterised by being ugly and desperate, and the artist managed to personify this with a such a powerful, ugly style ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/LSTpnKC.jpg) | ||

@Souma, I prob appreciate oppai as much as you (possibly less, you truly like your oppai o/) and often 'cowtits' becomes an objection to oppai portrayal in animu. So my question to you is where's your cut off? When does it enter "too big" territory?
