been having an ongoing debate about shinsekai yori and i'm wondering what the general opinion on it around here is. personally, i think the show is a 6 or 7/10 at best. the story is above average but the characters and the way they are written ruin it for me. there is no character development, which in and of itself is not the end of the world (see indiana jones), but combine that with unlikable and wooden archtypes and it just ruins any sense of drama or stakes to what is happening. its like watching the matrix sequels. the action scenes are cool, but the rest of it is a muddled mess. | ||
