Best Seiyuu Nana Mizuki You would. So I guess I should pick Nobunaga Concerto back up. IIRC I dropped it on ep 1 because of the shit tier animation. Thinking about it some more, I'm pretty sure I picked up Hyouge Mono in it's place, so it wasn't a total loss! I did it for the entire post, so take everything with a grain of salt.

The final battle in particular was able to overcome the shortfalls of CGI and make use of its strengths, which rarely ever happens outside of Hollywood and Studio Orange. They were even able to get some good CGI facial expressions in there, which is even rarer when going FULL CGI. But on the other hand, it had a lot of the vices that CGI anime falls into often as well, such as some choppy, busy battle scenes that are impossible to follow. Well, I guess choppy can be applied to most of the movie, as frame-rate being as low as it was stood out.
Angela was voiced by KugiRie, which was unfortunate, however her character design was sooo good.
@XenOmega: There aren't any other derivative works for it right now AFAIK Could I expect to find something similar in another title? I'm in a huge craving for Science Fiction Ghost in the Shell Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd gig You get the point. All of them have the added benefit of actually exploring the subject matter, unlike Expelled from Paradise.
Always surprises me when people haven't watched GitS. One of the real gems of the medium.

Sagami is not tomoyo's brother. You are mixing them up. I didn't mix anything up. The subordinate in context of my statement is Sagami.
Hajime Kiryuu did get rid of the possession user and told Sagami not to include Virgin child in the war yet so i do think he does care for her.

Damn, IRL struck hard this autumn, didn't manage to check remaining 40% fall series yet(
Best anime of Winter'14 1) D-Frag! (best 4koma, best female mc); 2) Wizard Barristers (oldschool ftw, best mascot) 3) Tonari no Seki-kun (obligatory best short series)
Best anime of Spring'14: 1) Abarenbou Rikishi!! Matsutarou (even more oldschool, best supokon, best male mc, best supporting cast); 2) Hitsugi no Chaika (best fantasy, second best story, second best female chars); 3) Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou (best comedy, best male sc, second best slice); 4) No Game no Life (best dialogues, second best eyeporn); 5) Ping Pong (didn't watch past first ep, but it's Masaaki Yuasa ffs); 6) JoJo S2 (second best male mc, memetic as fuck).
Best anime of Summer'14: 1) Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen (best mecha, more militaristic than gundams); 2) Akame ga Kill! (best action, best girls); 3) Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (second best comedy)
Best anime of Autumn'14: 1) Cross Ange (best ost, best setting, best seiyu); 2) Denki-Gai no Honya-san (second best comedy, best slice); 3) FSN UBW (best eyeporn, best pairing, second best action); 4) Mushishi S2 (best story, best atmosphere); 5) SHIROBAKO (second best setting, second best seiyus). 6) ???
Guilty pleasure: Winter - Mahou Sensou (dig the girls) Spring - Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (did the flags) Summer - Rail Wars (dig the trains) Autumn - Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete (dig the source).
Honorable mentions: Sailor Moon Crystal, Garo, Glasslip, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei, Shingeki no Bahamut, Gundam Reconguista, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, Baby Steps, Isshuukan Friends, Akuma na Riddle, Sidonia no Kishi, Space Dandy S2, Majimoji Rurumo, Kiseijuu, Sanzoku no Musume Ronja, Nobunagun, Magic Kaito 1412.
Biggest surprise: Argevollen (actually likeable chars, less magic robo hax than usual) Majimoji (much funnier than expected), Garo (first time i was caught drooling over 3D) Shingeki no Bahamut (such original characters and scenario writing) No Game No Life (was one episode away from dropping it in the beginning)
Biggest dissapointment: Gundam Reconguista G (worst setting and production value in Gundam TV series ever, Aida is slut) Black Bullet (tropes overload, trainwreck master grade) GBF S2 (male protags are faggots, less creativity in battles, OUTSTANDINGLY BORING SCHOOL) Zankyo no Terror (gayshit is gay, how low the mighty has fallen) Terra Formars (why did they even produce TV series in a first place)
Best OP: Black Bullet by fripside (bestest lyrics in J-Pop song I've learned them by heart), Abarenbou Rikishi!! Matsutarou (superior enka tier), Tokyo Ghoul (the only thing they did right, lol), Hitsugi no Chaika S1 (a rare occasion when more than 3 female singers don't ruin the mood of song at all), NGNL (the catchiest of them all), Sailor Moon Crystal (better than in the original series, haha). Best ED: JoJo, Gokukoku no Brynhildr, Black Bullet, Garo, Wizard Barristers, ???

So... this whole year was best according to you?

If i were watching/checking less, I would've definetely sticked up to top10, true.

No the point is to pick 3-5 and make actual hard choices.

Actually it's a much easier choice than top3 from each season, lol.

u forgot best loli category. i nominate shiro from no game no life after just watching the first episode and making her my new waifu (she will have to share the bed with kazumi for now) + Show Spoiler +

AOTY Mushishi Zoku Shou - Easy choice considering S1 is my favorite anime.
Honorable Mentions: Hunter x Hunter (!) Space Brothers (!) Nagi no Asukara Gin no Saji S2 Ping Pong Sidonia no Kishi Barakamon Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Ongoing: Parasyte UBW
OPs Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Honorable Mentions: Mushishi Zoku Shou Sidonia no Kishi UBW
EDs Black Bullet Nagi no Asukara ED2 Grisaia no Kajitsu ED2 + Show Spoiler +I went full Nagi fanboy here.
Honorable Mentions: Noragami Sidonia no Kishi Aldnoah.Zero Psycho-Pass 2
Biggest Surprises Nanatsu no Taizai - More fun than I thought it'd be, even though I've read good things about the manga before. Nisekoi - Surprisingly enjoyable (sasuga Shaft).
Biggest Disappointments Zankyou no Terror - Looked like it might be good. Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete - Butchered visuals. Grisaia no Kajitsu - Hyped VN, but pacing ruined it. It's not terrible, but I had higher expectations. Mekakucity Actors - Again, not terrible, I just expected more.
Best Male Characters Nanba Mutta (Space Brothers) Ginko (Mushishi Zoku Shou)
Honorable Mentions: Meruem (Hunter x Hunter) Zoldyck Killua (Hunter x Hunter) Hachiken Yugo (Gin no Saji S2) Main characters from Ping Pong

Honorable Mentions: Iki Hiyori (Noragami) Fujimiya Kaori (Isshuukan Friends) Tsunemori Akane (Psycho-Pass 2)
Best Seiyuus I'm not as big a seiyuu fan as some others here, so just some shoutouts: Hayami Saori (dat Hatako scene), Amamiya Sora, Ozawa Ari (Chiyo <3)
Fuck, this took longer than I wanted it to.
